Do you mean a seperate RX battery? Around 2000 MAh would be fine. I am just after putting a Lipo into my DX7. The batteries was fairly knackered. I fully charged it and all the heli's and went to the field and got 2 flights then the TX was dead! I highly recomend it. It stays fully charged for a long time now. Just remember to higher your low battery alarm to about 10v. Yes I meant Rx battery pack not Tx. On the subject of Tx I just ordered my DX7s and some parts for my MCPx, boom there goes another $400+ dollars. I thought knife making was an expensive hobby to get into, but the helicopters has already surpassed the price of my grinder, and a couple more crashes and I will have the cost of my other tools covered too I think I have all the big budget items covered on the heli front now though

When I ordered my Tx and parts for my MCPx I also ordered a flybar locking tool for an Align 600. Well the locking tool is too short to reach the flybar so it does me no good How are people locking out their flybars during setup? I tried the line level but it is really a pain in the butt. Any quick cheap and dirty lock suggestions?

An Align head button is shorter than the Chaos button. I got 1 & just had to shim it up with 2 thin washers & the flybar lock worked perfect. Yea I know it's another thing you have to get but they're only a couple bucks & it makes it alot easier If you have a digital pitch guage you can even 0 out the flybar paddles with the lock installed. I never lock the flybar and I never had issues!!! lol I did years ago but at the end of the day you end up fiddling around and spending too much time on the thing. If your stuck and you have one of those gauges that you need to lock the flybar turn one flybar towards the tail and wrap a bit of insulation tape around the flybar and down onto the boom. Now tape a bit of weight onto the other flybar. There you go it's locked. I have a locking tool and a gauge with jewels in it ( less friction ) that cost a few bob years ago. I did a test one day with the ordinary pitch gauge that took half the time to setup and the readings was the same. I have not used it since. It was even more of a pain trying to lock the bar with a scale bird. Here's how I do it... forum.heliguy.com/how-to-use-a-pitch-gauge-t2312.html

I have the Black Widow head on the Chaos right now. The black button on the blade grip is th Align button. You can see the difference in the height of the 2 buttons. The Align button is a little too short for the flybar lock so that's why I shimmed it up higher with washers to bring it to the proper height for the lock to work. Hope this makes sense. Drev.
