Ok guys, I am very happy with my new mCPX. This thing is no joke, I was told it can take a beating but I had no idea. So far I've broken the tail boom but thats it from many many crashes, this thing just keeps on flying. The only thing that this heli tends to do from a crash is that the small linkages pop off, so I suggest to buy extras because they're too small to find once they come off from a crash. For example, I took it up about 30-40 in the air yesterday trying to do a flip and it landed on top of my truck in the driveway....yep you guess it, the only thing that happened was one of the linkages popped off. The kit comes with 2 extras so I put a new one on and bam....its flying again....just amazing!

Yup - this is how I'm learning to fly helis - much better to learn on than a sim (although the sim has uses too, I just lose focus with the sim). I just got some new 300mah batts for it from HK that are cool.

The 300 mah batts have 50% more capacity for about the same size. I haven't flown mine yet but it should give better flight times. My buddy says his stock charger was having troubles with it but I use a 6 mCPx battery charging cable from Progressive RC to charge mine with a regular charger.

I could not agree more that everyone needs one of these!!! It is the best orientation / 3d trainer in the world! I have 20 flights on mine in the last two days with a crash on every flight (trying dumb (BAD WORD)) and it is still very much airworthy! I love this thing!

[glow=red,2,300][/glow]Hi guys.....if you are looking at the Turnigy batteries for your mcpx and need a charging lead as well, so you can use your normal charger and see how much mah you are using, then these are a steal... www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18867__2_Pin_JST_to_6_x_E_Flight_Ultra_Micro_plug_Charging_Harness.htmland **NOTE** the Turnigy batteries are only $2.96 each if you buy them as a combo with it. Just scroll down the page until you get to the MCPX-CHAR Combo bit showing the Turnigy battery, select "buy now"....then when it says "added" , select "add to cart". When you select "add to cart" a message comes up about being on backorder...just select "OK" on it. Then check your cart and you can update to as many batteries as you want at $2.96 each. They are on backorder at the moment, but if you want them do it anyway as they come back into stock real fast. I did mine on backorder and they were back into stock in a couple of days. It says they are restocked every 2 weeks, if you wait until restocking, they may be all just about presold. The freight is pretty cheap too, as low as $4 for normal airmail from Hong Kong....if you can wait a few weeks for batteries, this is dirt cheap....you can get a heap of batteries for yourself and your mates at a fraction of LHS prices. I have ordered so many batteries I doubt I will use half of them...they have been shipped and should be here very soon... McpX rules....thanks Dr Evil for putting me onto it...

Your very welcome mate...always looking out for all my friends. Thank you for this info though...OMG, that is an insane price. I will need to pull the trigger on a few of these myself. Now why can 6s be the same cost...LOL. BTW Bob, welcome to the lounge!

This soft start programing is not in the MCPx manual. Power up the Tx- turn on throttle hold- power up heli- set throttle to 50%- turn off throttle hold. I have a DX6i tx and it works great. I found it on HF in Finless Bob's tech room,Blade MCPx videos, compliments of Learjet 3, post #38. I think it should work with any radio. Give it a try. Drev.
