Took the past couple of nights off from building to catch up on sleep. Without the proper amount of sleep I won't build a good plane. I got 20 minutes worth of work last night. This only involved cutting some sheeting to fit between the S1 ribs and sit flush with their top and hitting glue joints again to make sure the joints are solid. I've been email my dad to get tips/instructions on making and applying sheeting as I haven't done sheeting before. I also spent some time trying to make a sanding block since I'm to the point of doing some sanding to get the LE flush with the stab ribs. Included are pics from Friday night with the second half completed and joined as well as a close up to the 1/4" pieces of sheeting between the S1 ribs. Attachments:

Got about another hour of work on the plane this weekend. Only involved creating templates for the stab sheeting, cutting the sheeting, and glueing some of the sheeting together. Making a template Marking the sheeting Test fitting the sheeting pieces Top quarters glued together to make halves.

Top half of the stab got sheeted last night. I'll be trimming the large amount of excess off before sheeting the bottom. Soaking in the tub to help make it more maluable Weighting to dry TA-DA! Labeled the top now before I forgot.

Updates and progress are kind of in a holding pattern. I came down with a nasty cold about 2 weeks ago and a home improvement project has been taking a lot of my time. Sunday week ago I was able to work on the plane some by removing the tabs from the bottom of the stab ribs and some sanding with rough grit.

Got back to the building table yesterday (Easter Sunday) afternoon. Son chose to take a 3 hour nap, so this gave me plenty of time to work.
Got the bottom half of the stab sheeted. No new/different techniques here when compared to the work I did for the top half.
Next steps will be trimming/sanding the sheeting overage down.

Thats looking really nice, looking forward to when I step up to a full balsa/ply build. Something about making something from nothing appeals to me.
