Hi All,
How would I get the most power and agility out of the chaos 600? So I've been flying my 450 around for a while and compared to the 600, the 600 feels like a pig. Its the stock chaos 600 from rcaerodyne.
Without going 12s or flybarless, are there any options to make it more powerful and more nimble?
Thanks for reading!

You would have to atleast go to a 8 or 10s setup. The stock motor will most likely need to be replaced as well. If you want more power thats the only way I know how.

Are you running the 4025-1100kv motor? What batteries are you running? I went from Turnigy to a expensive high C rating quality battery and wow! Batteries can be a huge upgrade on power alone. No one wants to spend $110+ on batteries but if you want high 3D performance you gotta pay to play. Another option would be a 550 boom, TT, and blades. Smaller blade disc more power...

Good batteries would help as the 600 is heavy and on low volts puts more of a strain on them. George , aka sgmason on here, is just after converting his to 8 cell as far as i remember. It would do no harm to shoot him a message and see what setup he ended up going for. It might save you a bit of research time.

Thanks for the replies, with an 8s setup, do you guys know if the stock chaos limited edition electronics will work?

I still haven't done my 8s conversion, been playing and paying for my plank I went with an ice 100 and still need to pick up a new motor. My reasons for wanting to switch isn't more power, its a case of wanting a cooler running bird for when I add a scale fuse to the package. Also a pair of good 4s batteries is cheaper than 1 good 6s

going 12s with mine - Looking to bump my head speed and lower the amps that I am pulling. Currently have the 4025-1100kv motor - have the 4025-630 waiting to go in. Trying to decide what esc I will use. CC 80 or 120HV or the YEP120HV.
I will be using the highest C 6s 3000 to 3300 mah batteries I can afford. My current 30C 6s batteries can not hack it. come down from a gentle flight and the pack is pushing 140 degrees while the esc, motor and bec are "cool"

The higher the voltage the less the Amps so you can go for cheaper, lower C rated, batteries. I converted mine to 12c can highly recomend that YEP120. Also buy the programming card. I have only a few test flights on mine as I was planning on going FBL with GPS, which I just bought from RCA, but I can say the ESC has a really slow start and runs runs cold after hovering around with camera rig for 6 mins. I also converted to 700 size. Another thing if your planning on adding more power have a look at the KDE main gears RCA has. Better safe than sorry when it comes to these big birds.

After flying a Trex 600E for years (first version), when I built the Chaos 600E, I built it as a 12S ship.
Unlike the Trex, I did not have to modify the frames to get the larger diameter motor in (Compass Motor). It was as if it were made for it.
I installed the batteries side-by-side on the battery mount, and moved the canopy forward a bit for clearance.
It has been working well that way, for over a year now.
