Yesterday I put the Black Widow gyro on my 450. It handled great after a bit of tweaking and I am really happy with it. However in the hover it has a bit of a tail wag. If I turned the gain down to the point where is was not wagging it was not holding. I also changed the setup for the tail in the BW programing. I am not surprised as I have the Align servos on cyclic and a cheap ( but fast! ) servo on the tail. I feel I am going to be using this bird a bit more now because it goes that good so I want to upgrade the tail before the servo burns out. I bought this head as it is cheap and I did not have to replace the main shaft or anything else to get it going. www.ebay.com/itm/270940696621?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649So what are you guys using? I may just go for the DS420 but thought I would give a shout to you guys first to see your setups.

I'm running the DFC head and DFC main shaft with the Power HD tail servo.

The Power HD 3688HB servo?? Not sure about this one as it looks like it has plastic gears.

I ended up buying the Align DS425 for less money than the HD and it is quicker with metal gears. I have the ballance on my 450 bang on so putting a heavier tail servo on like the HD would mean moving my battery forward. I'll let you know how I get on mate thanks for your input.

I got the new servo and gave it a go but to be honest it is hard to make out if it made a difference as is was so windy. The weather this year in Ireland is so bad. Wind and rain. Anyway I had to fly it so here is the video. When it is calm out i'll do another video.

Joe it appears to handle the wind fairly well The tail looks to be solid even in a side on wind
