Growing up in the hobby I heard the older men say a lot "I was involved in my teens, but after getting married and having kids I got away from the hobby. Now that the kids are older, I'm back in the hobby." I used to think these guys were crazy for doing this. But now I'm starting to understand. The last time I had anything in the air outside was Father's Day. The other night I threw the Force R/C helis in the air around the house, and boy was I rusty. The last time I got a nitro burning bird in the air was just a few weeks after our son was born when I met my dad at my local club. I don't even have time to get on the sim much these days. I feel like my birds are starting to resent/hate me for feeling neglected.

Just the everyday life takes sooooo much of our time that when you do finally have a little time to yourself, it doesn't last very long. Part of it I believe is just getting old...LOL...like they say, time quickly passes on by.

For sure if it was for the ultra micro planks and have .75 acres of land, I would be going crazier than I am now with r/c withdrawal.
