Dad's first solo with his Chaos 450 Pro and first buddy box forward flight session on my Chaos 450 Pro. With just under 10 flights on his 450 he is doing Great! He left his training skids at home this morning. I woke him up t 8am to fly... He still insisted on the solo without them!! You Rock Dad I am a proud son. Now I know what he felt back in 1987 as I soloed for the first time Attachments:

No the 600 is too big. He loved flying my 500 and wants to keep the cost of batteries down! Much easier to jump to a 500 vs 600 in terms of electronics and batteries. Don't know if he will make a jump for another Chaos at all but he seems ADDICTED!!! ;D

Very , very good DAD! Keep up the practice. Just my 2 cents: GET THE 500,LOL ;D Yeah, I suggested to skip the 500 just b/c from everything I've heard and experienced "a bigger heli will be steadier to fly and easier to see in the sky" but than again Chris has a point about the batteries which certainly comes into play....6s can get costly.

I am quiete surprised how big the 500 flys. Smooth and hands free hovering ability! Doesn't have the hang time lift in an auto like my 600 but very stable.
He did forward circuits with the buddy box with my 500 first just because it's more stable and easier to see.

Yea, 6S batteries can get pricey, but that's what I fly on mine. Agreed Dr Evil a 600 is a bit more stable. Like I said, just my 2 cents worth. I think personally the 500 is my favorite size. No real reason I guess other than I just like 'em.
