So I got the super combo kit and it came with the 115A speed controller - I really hate trying to play with those beep codes - Have a chance to pick up a CC Ice 8S 100A controller pretty cheap
So looking for the specs for the phoenixtech motor it looks to pull a max of 110A
My thinking is that the CC is going to be under sized and I would need to step up to the 120A model (which is out of my price range)
Am I thinking right?

I believe the video was posted in a topic on the 100 amp speedcontrol setup. Even though my video is of programming the 115. You can also search my name ( James VanHook) on YouTube and the video will come up I believe

Sorry, my bad....its actually in the 600 thread under "Phoenixtech 100A ESC SoftStart"...James used his 550 as an example which I thought was under the 550 thread. Anyways....here is the video. But to answer your question on the CC 100A ESC, I beleive it will do the job as the Chaos 600 combo kit had came with a 100A ESC till they changed it up for the all new 115A version. Maybe someone else will know a little more on this....

On my 600 I run a cc ice 80 or 85 ( can't remember exactly) hv and have no problems at all on 6s. You should be fine. But keep in mind the phoenixtech 115 works great and has a bec built in

That ICE is more than enough. Yes the motor can peak at 110 but the ICE can peak more. I just watched a vid of a guy flying a plane running 60 amp through a 30 amp ESC and this was continuous not bursts. OK it won't last long but you get the idea.
