Chipwich Yeah I would remove the brass washers except for the one on each screw. I just took my aileron control horns off and measured the control shaft. The shaft is 88mm long like the nitro version, so I took the calipers and measured everything without the brass washers it comes up the 88.5mm. The only way mine will work smoothly is to keep the washers out. Yeah I would see how it works out with the 8mm. Dr evil I'm sure it is not going to hurt anything as long as you didn't trim too much off. I have always been told not to though no matter what I was working on IE airplane, car, helicopter. I'm sure you will be fine though. I always use deans, but may try out the EC plugs as that is what LOSI uses in the short course trucks stock. When soldering bullet connectors I always put the bullet in a pair of pliers and heat it up with soldering iron the melt solder in the connector. Then I drop the tinned wire in and it comes out perfect for me.

OK, going to reassemble the control arm tonight without the copper washers and see where we are. Great to have this discussion with other builders while in the process.
I'll let you know about the 8mm connectors. I have made a wooden soldering block for bullets which works great when the tinned wire doesn't have a larger diameter of the connector. But man, those 8 gauge wires are monsters!

Yeah I'm going to break away from the 500 today after I get the nav lights mounted and glued in. I hope to have the chaos 600 built today or tomorrow.
