OK, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I have the Chaos and Align manuals, but neither show how the motor mounts. I suppose it is one of those things that is so obvious that it is easily apparent to the average Joe. Call me thick sculled. Another thing is that I don't see how you get it in the frame with the battery mount in place.
Edit: I've got the mount installed, just don't know how to mount the motor to it.
TIA

Remove the battery mount & slip the motor in, it's only 4 screws.

Do you have this manual? It shows the motor.... www.rcaerodyne.com/Chaoshelicopter600ESP-ESPElite.pdfIt would be easier to remove the battery support. Its only held by 4 couple screws. Make sure the pinion grub screw is seated into the slot on the motor shaft or it will slip. I had to file the slot bigger on my shaft because when I put the motor in the pinion would not cover all of the main gear. After making the slot longer I could move the pinion up. Do a dry fit first to be sure with yours. Also make sure you mesh the gears properly using a piece of paper between the pinion and main gear. There is plenty on youtube how to do this. Be carefull not to drop the screws into the motor magnets! P.S......my name is Joe.....but I am not average haha

Thanks valkman, err above average Joe. ;D That's a lot better manual than I have. I walked away from it for a while, watched the Finless Bob video, and tried it again. I found out that if I feed it in from the top rear of the frame, then go underneath, I can get it in without removing the battery mount. The mounting screws that came with the kit are too big for the mounting holes on the Hyperion, and the Hyperion mounting screws are a little on the short side, but they bite enough for me to get an idea of the fit. Will go to my LHS for longer bolts and washers. Are you guys running your cables out the back end? The Hyperion/Scorpion have their wires on top of the motor for some reason. Does this look right? Looks good but why did you not put the pinion on before mounting it? The wires on my motor are the same as yours and I have them going to the rear also.

Looks good but why did you not put the pinion on before mounting it? I'm going to need slightly longer bolts and some washers. This was just a trial fitting to see if I had the right hardware. Thanks again.
