I took my 550 out today for the initial test run, started to spool her up and boom there goes both blades and the tail boom in pieces. Found the ball link for the blade pitch is cracked, on one and the other is missing half of the bottom. Just so happy Cheap Chinese Plastic. Blades came down and took the boom right off. Looked like an explosion. Not Happy at all. I need a new boom, boom supports, torque tube, main blades, tail blades, head linkages, feathering shaft, main shaft, horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer. Sick to my stomach. First time out and this.

First time out and this. I know exactly how you fell. Mine was the first time out too. That really sucks. I ordered these last night for the blade pitch links. helidirect.com/quickuk-rocket-control-ball-joints-long-type-blue-10pcs-t-rex600700-p-19696.hdxGood luck with the rebuild. I see that you got your ESC today. That was quick. I handed it to the mailman Saturday afternoon. I'll leave you feedback a little later.

Damn sorry to hear that Didn't you go through the entire model and all the parts?? Even my my Trex 550 I went through every part by taking it apart and rebuilding. Hopefully you get her fixed and up in the air soon! Before you go trashing the brand or helicopter let Cliff and the guys know so they can take cares of these issues.

I wasnt trashing the brand of helicopter, simply stating an opinion on the plastic ball links. I went through everything 2 or 3 times, kind of hard to notice a crack in a ball link though. They were not cracked when I received them. My guess is they cracked when i put them on not really sure. I suggest everyone check theres before flying again and thoroughly.

Oh of course not saying you were. Just saying always go to the root first. I had so much trouble trying to get hold of past issues with other companies. RCA is #1 with customer service that I've seen!
I noticed on my 450's some were a little tight so i used a pack of Trex ball links. Glad you and no one was hurt.
