I am going to order either the belt or the TT . i fly off of grass and i am always hitting it with the tail , the 700 will be tested and flown off of asphalt but dont know if i will be kicked off of it by the park rangers . will the TT gears be ok if the smack some grass or just go wit hthe belt version . i wanted to get another 700 kit but really want a 600 on 6 cells to fly anytime . it will get a venom 1300kv on 6 cells with a 12 tooth pinion. that should be more than enough headspeed for anything i want to do. what do you think guys , just get both lol .

I had my share of stripped tt gears, I find them to be very sensitive to any hit to the tail blades but I still prefer it over belt. I think it's more of a personal preference.

Been reading a lot about tt lately & several reports are that tt isn't so sensitive to tail blade strikes if you keep the tail blades loose. No personal experience till I get th 500 ready, but it's what I've been reading.

my 500 hasn't had stripped gears also , but i haven't taken off grass yet . i have landed in grass but like you said i keep the blades loose. i may just go with the belt for now , i could convert it to TT later . no flying today it seems like when i want to fly its always too windy . i am going to order the belt 600 either this week or next .

Hey, Dr. Evil. You will love the 600 belt. I got one last fall with the intention of putting it in a fuse. I made the mistake of setting it up to play with till I could afford the fuse & now can't put it down. I guess I'll just have to get another for a fuse!

Something to consider for sure... maybe the next time I strip TT gear.
