Are you guys doing anything to adjust the setting on the performance->basic tab? Haven't maidened mine yet, but looking to confirm that these default settings won't crash me first

Question about strange behavior after crash. After rebuilding my 500 with the Blackwidow installed I noticed that it flys normally except, when rolling right (tail in) it is much slower than a roll to the left? I'm thinking I may try replacing the swash servo mounted on the right side and see if that affects the symptom. Just thought I would throw the question up here and see if you guys had any other suggestions. On another note: headed to Hodges Hobbies this weekend for HHAEFI. If you are able to attend you should come check it out. www.rcgroups.com/hodges-hobbies-all-electric-fly-in-hhaefi-v7-798/Great group of guys and lots of flying at a great field. Clint from Castle will be there and I'm sure he will have suggestions to try for my above problem. Later, Crashmaster

When you built the the 500 did you put the links to exactly as they were before? it is always best to redo a setup after a crash..

I re-setup the linkages yesterday and got the swash level at mid stick. Played with the pots on the BW. Still don't have the sensitivity on the ailerons. Elevator sensitivity is as sensitive as I expect it should be. Flips are good, rolls suck!
I'm at HHAEFI so my options are limited. The Robar <sp> software is on my laptop that crashed this morning. (BAD WORD), if it wasn't for bad luck sometimes I wouldn't have any luck at all.
On top of that I put in my flybarred 500 hard yesterday. Balls too big for my skill. Repairable at home but not here.
Still have my Chaos 600 to fly and my 3 planes, so I'm still in business at the fly-in.
Is there somewhere I can download the Robar <sp> software on this POS netbook and try and troubleshoot the BW here at the fly-in?

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles ya having :-( I know that feeling even after all these years in the hobby, having built over thousands oh helis...things still happen to me....eh!eh! I'll forward this question to RC Aerodyne for ya. I just received a BW gyro. So I will look into programming it and sharing any facts/my experience with ya :-)

Eranrc, Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to get the Robird software loaded on my POS netbook with no success today. I'm still at the fly-in so the net connection is poor also. My laptop, with the software on it, decided to give me a .dll error. (Maybe it's time for a new computer)
Anyway, once I get the Robird sofware running I think I can tighten up the rolls. I'll post what I find when I find it. Too much late night adult fun at the fly-in to do anything too serious at this point.
Thanks again and I'll keep Y'all posted,
Crashmaster

I am one step closer to be stuffing my 600 into the Airwolf. I finally got the BW setup but may need a little tweeking I think which bring up this question. I know pretty much all the adjustments are made on the BW itself vs. the Tx. My question is do I need to adjust the expo on the BW or do I make those adjustment as usual on my Tx? I test hovered it this evening before dark and seems to be fine but alittle touchier than I prefer. In the past I've upped the expo on it when it was a FB version and everything is smooth but with the new BW just installed, I don't have that same feeling as it once has.
