I ordered my Chaos 600 limited edition on Christmas day and was happy when it arrived shortly after the new year. When I got into the build I was a little disappointed that the kit was not as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting the polished aluminum parts (blocks and head assembly) only to find out that I got the standard black parts. I figured it was only cosmetic so I would deal with it. As I started the build, I had only the instructions that were available on the website. I must say that this is my first complete build but I do fly a 500 that I bought used and spent a lot of time breaking it down and getting it set up the way I wanted. As I tried to follow the instructions, it was difficult to build because there had been many upgrades since those instructions were created. I have found myself several times having to stop and go back and redo things just to get it right. If it had not been for the internet, I may have never come close (which I am close now) to getting this thing built. The machine seems solid, I can not wait to get its maiden flight in but like I said, I am a little disappointed that I did not get what I thought I was going to get.

Brian Hey Brian, sorry to hear about that. Unless you're willing to take the head off and send it back, I am sure that RCA will send you a new head that is suppose to have been polished in the first place. I would call them anyway and see what they are willing to do at this point, doesn't hurt to atleast let them know but I am sure it was a simple honest mistake with labeling. As for the manual, yes you have to download it off the net but with the Trex 600esp manual it really wasn't too much off to follow. Yes, there are several upgrades and stuff that makes it different than of the Trex manual but overall its pretty much the same. If there was anything that you didn't understand, there are plenty of ppl here that will be more than willing to help you out....just ask.

You are right dr evil. I do need to call them, life has just been hectic lately. I am not completely unsatisfied, just a few things were bothering me. I will call and post when I get a response. Thanks for the advice on the Trex, I will take a look at it.

No, not yet. I am still in the processing of getting it set up. I work a hectic schedule 200 miles from home so I work on it while on the road and it sits on the weekends when I am home with the family.
I hope to have it done in a week or two and maiden it then.
I will keep everyone posted.
Thanks, Brian

Brian Just got mine today (Limited Edition) and it came with the standard head also. Really liked the polished but not worth sending back. Very impressed so far with the rest of the kit.

I am impressed with the rest also. I just got the Black Widow FBL head for mine so after a few flights I will be swapping it out.
I have talked with RCA via support and I hope they are going to give me a deal on the Black Widow FBL gyro when I buy it instead of swapping out the head.
We will see. I will keep everyone posted.
