I'll copy and past what I said in both video's
I went from 6S to 12S and put a Align 700M 510KV motor in it with a CC ICE2 80HV.Well I was kinda low on fund's so bought a set of Blue Lipo 6S 20C 2650mAh pack's.First thing I noticed was the heli was tail heavy because the pack's were too light..Then on the first flight it didn't make the power I expected, wasn't bad but I needed more.Ended up getting a used set of Gravity 6S 30C 3300mAh pack's which I used in the 2nd video and all I can say is it's on this coming summer.
Well you can see a BIG difference from the first video with the 20C pack's .Before I start and for the record, these are 2 year old Gravity 6S 30C 3300mAh pack's with I don't know how many cycles on them because I got them used..I'll for sure be buying this brand pack for all my electric's ..
Anyway's,
With how old these pack's are (2 year's) and im sure LOT'S of cycle's,I didn't expect them to make much more power but they did lol..I could tictoc the whole flight if I wanted with these old pack's haha..I got a EASY 5min flight in the freezing cold which kills flight time on electric's by 30-45secs..Charged my pack's as soon as I got home and put 4034mAh back in both so thats a little over 2000mAh per pack. Also, voltage was 3.84V per cell after a 5min flight.I still had another 1 to 1 1/2 min's left so could of flown for 6 1/2 min's in the 15F freezing cold..Im running 2000RPM right now with 3% headroom in the gov so really no headroom to keep a consistant headspeed but it does for the most part with these old pack's.
This summer i'll be running a tooth bigger pinion so I can get 2100RPM on the head with headroom for the gov along with some brand new Gravity 30C pack's,might go with 40C hehe..After today,im 100% sure i'll get a 6:30 min flight beating the hell out of it..This Align motor is the bottom of the pit for power and being efficient so when taxes come around,I might go with a Xera as im told they make way more power and their very effcient. Not sure on the motor but as of right now,im more than happy ..
