I like the Spektrum but I just bought and Aurora 9 and I have to say I much prefer it. One of the reasons I went with it is because of the slider controls on the bottom. I can use these for the camera gimbal. These will be used only when the Hex is flying itself of course!

I fly a lot of Horizon Hobby helis and planes so I need my Spektrum Bind-n-Fly. I flew Futaba for 20+ yrs. Never tried Hitec, Airtronics or JR

Oh it has the sliders. Yea the BNF stuff I will miss out on. My worn out MCPX is shelved for now. I may end up going the UHF route anyway. How's the big scale bird going for you?

Between work, the baby, and writing reviews for RC Heli Pilot my plate has been full. I got my ESC's back from castle finally. Got the 50 programmed and into the 450 Pro. Now just have to go get new connectors and leads to wire back up the 120HV for the 429!
