I picked up a digital angle finder the other day and it got me thinking. Just how close is close enough for pitch settings? The angle finder I picked up reads to .05° which I am sure is close enough, but The magnets on it are not strong enough to hold to the blade bolt alone so I had to make a steel plate to mount it to the blade grip. Unfortunately I didn't have any precision ground steel laying around so if there is any variance it will be from the plates, say .1° out max.
Still +/- 0.1° should be more than close enough considering that people still use the old style pitch gauges, I am just wondering what tolerances we should be aiming for.
My elbow is feeling much better today, strong pain meds do that , so I am thinking that I may get back to doing the setup on my 600 today, after I sand the hull of the airboat I am making, and get the first layer of glass on it. If all goes well I might be willing to try flying my planes again in a week or two, but only if I am off the pain meds. Being that I don't drink or do drugs, I get loopy when the pain meds kick in and I don't want to be flying around light headed
I am also thinking of picking up one of these this week.

Not the greatest camera, but its better than the old sony point and shoot I have been using, and it is waterproof so I can mount it to the boat too. Its good to 20m, 65.6 feet, so even if I sink the boat I can retrieve it and still have a working camera ;D Yes I do have my open water dive license too, so 65 feet is not a problem.
