A guy visited the club I'm a member of yesterday and pulled out this nice looking Cobra. Hoping it was RC Aerodyne, but it wasn't. This is the Align's kit. Still very impressive looking. Attachments:

That looks like a Marine Cobra instead of an Army Cobra - probably shouldn't have painted US Army on the Tow missiles to be accurate.

They are 500 size. Oh, working Cobras belong to the Marines.

They are 500 size. Oh, working Cobras belong to the Marines. This heli is modeled after a two engine Cobra which only the Marines fly in the US. When the Army had Cobras, theirs were all single engine helis. Working or not - this isn't an Army Cobra.

Everytime I see a heli now, I try and ID it just like this past weekend at the state fair. There was a highway partrol heli on display and I knew it was a Bell but I wasn't sure what model. Thought it might of been a 407 and actually the officer there confirmed it but later on I found out it was actually a 206. Which kind of made sense cause it was a little small to be a 407. Anyway, just thought it's cool to be able to ID stuff like that. I am pretty good with naming cars and their specs but being into RC helis and planes, it is just really fascinating to learn the history and their specs.

Yeah - sorry Doc E. I guess I spent too many years flying fighters. It's important to know what you are shooting at before you pull the trigger. We spent many hours looking at photos of military aircraft from around the world.

I'm the same way E. Every time I here a rotor swoosh I run outside and look to see what it is. I get a woodie every time I see our local EC145 medivac chopper!

LOL!!! I love hearing experts correct r/c model mistakes. I always want to watch the SHP land their heli at the fairgrounds given the location they are set up in every year.
