In your video, the blades looked too loose in the blade grips. Looked like it could have had a boom strike when you throttled up the heli.

I have a basic idea of whats going on but there is just so much Thank god for this place! I just found Bobs videos over at helifreak and I am going to watch those tonight.

Dear ChaosLounge.net......no more deleting me please So in regards to the tail acting up in the video I realized I had the tail rotor on backwards lol I got the swash leveler tool in today and got it set perfect. Gonna have to shorten a couple links a tiny bit and re-level then I should be good. I will make sure the pitch is set correct tomorrow and then I just gotta keep playing on the simulator and waiting for decent weather ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

We'll continue and try to keep this place at its highest level and there may still be a few minor change ups but you should be good to go now. BTW, good luck with your re-maiden today! I don't fly as much as I would like and I still have alot to learn but I hovered my 600 in the backyard yesterday after work and I tell ya....still gives me a rush....LOL.

Thanks Evil! Can anyone explain to me why other 600's have the straight aileron arms and the servo mounted right side up and these have the angled aileron arms and servo mounted upside down? Seems like in theory, with everything straight, the angles would work better.

Mine also came with the angled arms. I've read the canopy will not fit with the servos the other way around, but I would guess that it's just a newer design. Quick question, Why is mounting the gyro on top of the tail case a bad idea? Vibration? Tnks... Fly safe Drev. Edit: Does anyone else have their gyro mounted on top of the gearbox? seems like the perfect place.

I have also read that vibration from the gears can be a problem, and, also in a crash the gyro is more prone to damage from a blade strike being out in the open. ymmv

chitty024......I had my gyro on the top of the tail boom because it came like that ( pre built ). After talking to Evil and Ghost it was a no brainer to put it on the gyro tray. Its there for a reason. Vibs from the boom gearbox is the reason also it is protected in case of an event. As for the aeliron arms mine is straight also. If you have the orange canopy they will fit with the wheel on top of the servo. The skull canopy is smaller and will hit the wheel if the wheel is on top. I have both orange ( about to be resprayed ) and skull and this is the way mine is. Do a dry fit on one servo first if you want to do it. I cant see how you will notice any difference anyway.

Wow! I learned a VERY valuable lesson last night! How important safety is with these things! I was messing with travel adjustments and accidentally hit throttle, got blasted in the side of the head with a rotor blade. The one time I didn't have the blades off or the unplug the motor leads something happens. Thank god it was just a little bump of the throttle!

Best thing to have when making adjustments that don't require the rotor to be turning is to disconnect the ESC and have one of these www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=101349 and one of these www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=126987. This way you can power the RX without having to worry about anything spinning up accidentally.

Wow you were lucky. There is a hell of a lot of power in these. Even the 450 as metioned can cause a lot of injury as myself and one of the crew found out recently. My 450 just stopped responding to any controls just as was about to take off.
When doing any adjustment I always disconnect the BEC and plug in a spare RX battery I have. I can play with it all I like then! No need to remove motor wires etc.
