The new 700 size AS350 Super Scale is RC Aerodyne's intro into the larger 700 series of helicopters. Just like the smaller 470 size version, the 700 size incorporates an all new set of scale mechanics that have been especially developed to work with this fuselage. The two stage transmission allows for extremely efficient and reliable use. The mechanics have been designed especially for 12S set ups and gearing ratio's have been calculated for the multi-blade rotor head that is included.
The special design of the scale mechanics allow for RC Aerodyne to develop full scale cockpits from front to back.
The Kit Includes:
Assembled Scale Mechanics
-Painted and Pre Assembled Fuselage
-Working Sliding Door ( installed )
-Multi-blade Plug N Play Rotorhead
-Torque Tube Tail Drive system including tail case, gears, tail boom, and torque tube.
-Scale Semi Symmetrical Rotor Blades
-Scale Tail Rotor Blades
-LED Navigation Lights ( installed )
-Complete Painted Cockpit from front to back
-All scale fittings
-Water Transfer Decal Set

I love my mail man. Came home to this Giant package today.
WoW... BIG! Let the build begin. Will be doing pics and videos throughout the build. This model has hinged doors, sliding door, full seating, instrument panel, body rivets, decals, and More...
Electronics I will be using:
Motor: PhoenixTech 500kv motor
Cyclic: MKS DS1210’s
Tail: DS620
ESC: Castle Ice 80HV
BEC: Castle Bec Pro
Gyro: Naza H FBL Gyro
Battery: 12s Setup
Packed with foam, cardboard dividers, and hot glue
All parts were wrapped and packed extremely well
Makes my Bell 206 look like a 600...
For the front seats I used a Velour Flocking texture kit. Back seats I just painted to match
Glued in the seats, instrument panel, and joysticks. Had to trim just a little bit off to make the seats drop into their pre cut slot.
Side and sliding cargo door open
Side view through bigger door
Instrument Panel
For the windshield I just lined it up, tacked it down with painters tape, drilled, and installed the four mounting screws. As far as the exterior details I used my hobby knife to open the holes up on the cabin a little bit more and installed the cable cutters and antenna. The water transfer decals slide right off the paper onto the fuselage without issues. I also put three coats of white paint on the skids and steps and epoxied the steps to the skids
Tail screw blocks mounted inside boom fuse, horizontal fins and navigation lights mounted, water transfer decals applied, and antennas installed. Next phase will be building the scale mechanics.
Mechanics Build / Electronics Installation
Here is a look at the AS350's scale mechs, similar to Goblin mechs
Start by removing the side frame to reveal the inside
Install the pulley onto the motor and install onto the motor mount
Adjust belt tension and re-install side frame
Install boom rear boom clamp, tail servo mounts, pushrod guides, and torque tube shaft bearings
Slide boom into front boom clamp and tighten all bolts and install boom supports
Servos are MKS DS1210's
Start by prepping the servos by installing grommets and bushings
Servos installed
* NOTE * Some servos may require slotting the frame about 4mm to fit bigger servos like the MKS
Servo horns centered and installed
The Naza-H and a few other things I was waiting for are finally here!
DJI Naza-H autopilot system
Includes: Naza-H, remote LED, ext cord, USB cable, 8 servo leads, and 3M mounting tape (all come in their own individually wrapped anti-static bags)
Let’s get it started! *For JR or Spektrum cut off the servo end guides*
All servo leads, remote LED, and sat connected
Naza and RX mounted, all servo wires secure, and servos and head 90. Good place to call it a day
Everything is hooked up and soldered, ESC programmed, weight added, and.... It's raining
Well I thought spring was here.. I was wrong
Took the AS350 out to the field to show my buddies today.
Can't wait to finish it!
