Thanks for the info Joe. The only reason I want it is for my scale birds cause it may prevent a crash. I wouldn't mind crashing a pod and boom but a scale takes too much time to build and see it all in pieces would be really sad.

Wish I had the money for one I will have to settle for the Ikon/MSH unit. Did you give up on the AP? If not that HK stabilizer is quite the item and easy to set up. You were right about not needing to run the aux channel to run it, with a flick of a dip switch on the unit you can set it to controlled from the Tx or always on. The gain adjustments are real sensitive though. I hope to have my scratch built plane together enough to post a little vid on it tomorrow or Sunday. how well it works for me in flight remains to be seen ;D

No I have not given up on the AP. Thats what this GPS unit is for. I still have to put the camera rig back on it but that can wait till a few more flights.

Today got a chance to fly in the very rare sunny Irish weather. I was very impressed with the position hold of the Naza. It came right down to the foot where I engaged the GPS hold.
I'm a bit worried about the motor temperature it is around 60-65 degrees C. I'm running 11 tooth so I might go back down to 10. I will have to order another "hard one " after the last 10 tooth cracked when tightened the grub screw. I am also going to put on a scorpion fan on the motor I don't expect much from it but it may help.
PS if you ever measure the temp of your motor don't take it from the can as that is always cooler then the inside. My can was at 40. I take my reading from the shaft below the pinion .

Thanks mate. I must do a final review video of all the work I done on it. There is so much time I spent on it it's unreal and a quick video would say a lot. My next project , a hexacopter, is on the books. This would mainly be for video. Attachments:

Here is my mates house. The garage at the rear is still half finished and there was cars all around the house along with half the lawn looking like a building site. Thanks God for Photoshop! Attachments:

That picture of the town is seriously compressed and was taken with about 5x zoom. If only I could get the video as good I would be laughing.
