Like I needed another heli, lol. I've got a 600 Pro Super Combo on the way! Robert said he was waiting on servos so it won't ship until the end of the week but that's okay. This will be for eventual installation in a 700-sized fuselage but will be flown pod 'n boom for now. Thanks Dr. Evil for steering me int he right direction!
**edit** Couple of questions -
1. What kinds of head speeds are folks getting off the stock motor? I saw it came with both a 15T and 16T pinion and I was like, eeeeek I'm gonna be spinning the head at like 2600 RPM! But then I noticed the motor that comes with it is 1100 kV which of course is slower than the Align 600MX that came with my T-Rex 600-ESP (1220 kV) so I relaxed a bit. Was just curious as to what you guys were getting?
2. Do I need to purchase a separate BEC/flight battery or is the one built into the ESC sufficient?

Looking forward to your build thread here.

Yup, I will start it in the sticky thread above. Please see my edits, had some questions and didn't want to start a whole new thread. I think we posted at the same time.

Yay Congrats!
Not sure about my head speed I run the stock pinion and run a flat 80% normal curve and a flat 100% 3D curve. As far a BEC buy the castle creations great for the price!

Thanks for the reply. Yup I have several CC BECs but I was wondering whether the BEC built into the stock ESC was good enough or if I should simply disable it? I've got a CC BEC getting ready to come out of my Mustang and I also have a 5A BEC that's capable of 6s input. I could use one of those if necessary but didn't know if it was... well... necessary?

On my castle creation Ice 100 I pulled out the red lead and disabled the internal BEC. I would never trust the ESC's BEC on any bird bigger than a 500.

+1 on that. A 5 amp BEC is too small. With the 1100 kv motor on 6 c I would say your HS would be around the 1900 to 2000 rpm mark.

Thanks for the replies guys. I figured as much but just wanted to check. I have a 5A BEC that came out of my Outlaw but it's only 5A. I'll have a CC 10A BEC coming out of my Mustang that was supposed to go on my T-Rex 500 with Naza-H (someone suggested that a 5A BEC wasn't enough for all those electronics) so I guess I can just buy another one. They aren't expensive and it's cheap insurance. I'll pick one up... thanks again!
One last question... if I decide to switch to a Castle ESC - I'm a bit of a Castle snob - and want to use the governor function I'll need to know the pole count of the 1100 kV motor. Does anyone know what that would be, by any chance?

I can check the pole count that I have set up. Need to find my link though.
My stock ESC would over heat at the 3 to 4 minute mark and would loose a massive amount of power - switched to the ICE 100 and now I am about (saving coins) to switch it over to 12s

Thanks guys! The Chaos arrived today and I must say, upon initial inspection the kit looks VERY nice. I'm going to try to work on it this weekend.
