I remembered reading the issues about the paddles but I didn't have any problems mounting mine. I know we talked about BECs earlier but decided to go with a Castle ICE 100 and a Castle BEC Pro after lengthy discussions with Castle themselves. I've never had a BEC Pro but it sure looks to be a healthy piece of equipment. Speaking of ESCs, I haven't really read anything bad about the Phoenixtech ESCs. Some people seem to have a problem setting up the soft start but I came across a good video that someone posted about how to set it up. I ask this because I'm trying to sell it and I've dropped the price to $40 and I don't have one single offer. It's NIP and has never been opened and I would think a brand-new 115A ESC would be worth at least that, lol. Am I asking too much? LOL...I think your asking price is more than reasonable but I just think most ppl tend to stay away from "off brand" electronics. Not sure why if the product is proven and never had any reported issues. For me, I still have it on my 600 and never had any problems what so ever. The only thing I can't seem to program is the soft start but other than that I would say it's a good ESC. Good luck selling it or just keep it as a backup.

I think I read that the soft start on the Phoenixtech ESC's only works if the gov. is set.

I would personally say the soft start on the Phoenix does not exist in any real manner. At least when compared to an ESC with a good soft start. Mine out of the box would go into a power reduced mode once in the air for 3 minutes. Determined that it was over heating and shutting down. Replaced it with an ICE 100 and never had the issue again.
