Hi Group So i was finally able to pick up a 600 at a price i could work with. I know i am a little late to the party but better late than never.
I have a stock frame in the mail that has been sitting for a little while. It has the black head but i would live the limited head if someone has one sitting that went FBL for the right price.
I am looking for some suggestions on on anything special to check when sitting for a while. Also if there are any "weak" spots while i have it naked that shold be replaced or upgraded?
Oh i have the free gyro but i really dont know if i will use that or not.
Also looking for suggestions on electronics for sport flying and practice. I think i want to stay around 300 total and am ok with used if it is a good part. What should i use for a non complicated, safe basic setup? Oh and i want to stay with a 6s pack.
Mtr? Servos? Tail servo? ESC? BEC? Gyro?
Thanks Mike

Welcome to th gang Mike. What do you men tilting around or a while? They don't spoil like food lol Just go though nod make sure all screws are tight and parts slide smooth without binding
You don't want to build a 600 on to much of a cheap budget, you want it to last!
Here is a good setup: Motor: Scorpion HK 4025-1000kv Servos: Pick up some Align 610's on cyclic, 620 on the tail or MKS's Gyro: Spartan Quark is the BEST Flybar gyro bar none!! Esc: CC HV100 w/ CC Bec Pro Battery: 22.2v 6s 5000 mAh pack KEY: Spend $$ on a good brand and it will Pay off!!! Sport Flight Duration: 5-6 minutes

I guess he was not flying it for a year or so. That is a great setup you posted I will have to look around right now that build is a little out of my funds. I am gonna try to sell off some my 450 stuff this weekend. I really do not want to do a cheap build at all so I know it is gonna cost more.
Thanks for the build suggestion!!

Awesome... soo glad your a Spektrum user! I shuold be able to walk you though the entire electroncs setup!!! I flew Futaba since 1986 but switched to Spektum a few years ago. Spektrum extremely user friendly and easy to navigate the menus As far as the Spartan goes I've had 5 chrome outrage edition ones. Color is just color they should all be the same.

Spartan quarks can be had for dirt cheap on some of the other heli forums! I have a friend that has one that would probably sell it for 50$ including shipping! I agree if your going to fly a fb heli the quark is definately the best gyro!
I also use a castle creations 100a esc and a align bec and it has worked flawlessly for 2 years now!
I will be upgrading my bec to a castle creations bec before our new season begins here in canada!
Also the align 600mx engine works great in the chaos 600!
Cheers Keith

Hey Mike, I'm almost in the same situation as you.
I recently purchased a used 600 and it's in excellent condition. It is complete with servos, motor, esc, gyro, and everything else, however, the heli is not set up to fly. I"ll have to keep an eye on your thread to learn how to get this bird in the air.

She came in the mail at the end of the week some small chips in the canopy but overall clean. So can anyone tell me if i can even sell the GT9 if so how much is a fair price? Time to start searching for some good prices. Someone got 4 610s for 110 last night on fleabay man i missed that one.

Just keep the GT9 on your parts bin for a small build. Might get $20 for it
