I'm not liking the Bailout switch being on the Gov. I can't reach it in a hurry if needed. If you set the trainer switch to Aux 2, you will only have tow of the three options available to you. But who needs three flight settings anyway.

Yeah, I mean, u can only fly one channel at a time, right? :-) besides, I got enough going on just trying to fly the damn thing. Know what I'm saying?? But anyway, plans are to go down for IRCHA. Gonna be a first. Hope to get some input on advancing the learning curve.

My Ikon/MSH controller should be here tomorrow so I may be bothering you guys for help getting it setup soon. I only have a DX7s so I don't know how similar things will be. Mind you there seems to be more info out there now than a month or so ago.

OK so I got my Ikon in and its all connected now. Took a little bit to figure out how to get aux2 assigned to the flap switch, but I finally did it. Yeah sometimes my dyslexia gets the better of me.
Now I just need to get that new pitch gauge so I can finish setting it up and properly program it. Documentation on this thing is none existent, and I don't find the info in the software all that noob friendly. I think I will be looking for a lot of advise while programing it.

I have a good friend having some issues with the brain and i figured id post it here to see if anyone has any possible solutions!
Gov issues with a Trex 600n
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've trying to set up the gov on my trex 600n with no success at all! Seems like the gov hunts the head speeds and as soon as I pitch pump or flip the engine almost stalls. I bumped up the gain in the Basic menu all the way up to 85 and still no good.I bumped the Gains in the Advance menu ... no good! Now once in awhile I'd try the bail out switch and the Heli would take a steep hard left nose dive for the ground!!! Today after I got totally fed up of messing with the gov I decide to de-activate it in the menu and set up end points to make sure my engine was in tune ... for the heck of it I hit the bail out switch and bingo ... a nice flat recovery! Go figure! The gov being out messes up the Bail out big time!!! I have a question for you guys here ... has anyone set up an external gov instead of this helish so call gov in the Brain? If someone did could you please post how you went about it maybe a wiring diagram? I'm using Aux1 for my Tail gyro menu and Aux2 for Bail out in my DX7 so I'm at a lost here. The Brain seems to fly well without governor enabled.
Settings are as per manual!
low stick + low trim its 0% at neutral trim + high stick 100%
But my throttle curves were set up as per instruction: normal mode 30 30 30 30 30 idle up 1 70 70 70 70 70 idle up 2 100 100 100 100 100
also using align magnetic sensor.
any ideas are greatly appreciate!
Thxs Keith

I can't answer your questions because I just got my Ikon/Brain last week and am using it on an electric, but I assume that you and your friend have searched through the MSH Brain threads over on helifreak. The reason I assume you did is because I saw a thread with the same issues that was started yesterday. No answers over there yet, but maybe if you contacted one of the MSH Brain reps directly that hang out on HF they could help you out if nothing turns up here.
