I had one nice flight and left the nose off to cool and flew the 450. The flew the Hughes and after about 2 mins 100 feet out about 70 up it started to loose power quick. I brought her down straight away and it lost power about 10 feet of the ground and I did an auto as good as I could. Looks bad but there is no damage at all Dont know what happened could be the battery but could also be the ESC cut out due to temps but it did not seem hot to the touch. Thing is its not that easy to plug the ICE into the PC anymore because of the fuse. Ill check it out tomorrow and let you guys know. If its a temp problem I might leave out a couple of windows. It looks like it was the battery. It dropped below 18 volts and the ESC shut down. I balanced 2 batteries and then took the dead one out of the heli to put a fresh one in before going to the field. The phone rang and I must have gotten them mixed up. I am balancing that battery now and it is charging on all cells ok . So far it took in 2700 ma and still taking 1.2 amps and its a 3000 battery. So my mistake, a stupid one, but I got away with it.......this time. I will mark that battery and hover it another day to make sure its good. Attachments:

Glad it turned out ok considering. I've done the same thing twice in my heli career. It's easy to mixup using multiples of the same type of battery. That's why I love the slider charge markers stickers that come with the Thor batteries!

Thanks for the link. Just remembered that volt meter is only for rx voltage. I have a rubber band around the battery to keep the wires from flapping around. The balance connector is always strapped When the battery is charged both wires are strapped with the band.Just this time that method did not work.
