I would recommend reinforcing the wing at the root there during the repair. Some dowels, carbon fiber strips, or the like will help. Typically once a repair is made to an area, the area is weakened and will break again in a similar scenario.

I am picking up a replacement wing on Monday, but it will be set aside as a spare or until I add the flaps and retracts to it. I already glued it back together, but I will put that little bit of advice in the bank for the next time

I gave Dr. Evil the same advice on gluing his firewall and wing TE alignment posts back on his T-28 after the crash.

Deadlines at work are coming closer and a lot to be done. Next time let's have you fly my Night Vapor around, save a scar or three from your T-28.

Got home with my new wing and retracts about 45 minutes ago. The new wing is tucked safely in a corner till I need it and the retracts are installed and working properly. All I need to do now is recheck the CG and get it in the air for a test flight. Only thing is it is freaking cold up here for the rest of the week single digit temps and snow is all the weather man is calling for. I think Friday and Saturday are the warmest in the forecast with a highs of 9°F and 6 mph winds. @" of snow on Friday though I will try to get video of the retracts up tonight.

Looks like the vid and pictures wont be till later found out that there is a Leafs hockey game on. Being Canadian I am legally bound to watch the full game while drinking Tim Hortons and eating donuts.

Chris would that be what we call an icecap up here? Tims does make a nice cup of coffee for an affordable price. Doc its OK that you don't know about Tim Hortons but they are moving south of the border as Chris said. I know a few Americans that come across the border to get their timmies fix
