George, sounds like you got it all figured out bro. You'll be just fine....post some pics. when you have it in your hands. Got the HD camera all charged up and the memory card is wiped clean to make room for pictures. I am hoping it comes in tomorrow because it would save me a second trip into Ottawa later in the week. If it doesn't come in I will post a picture of the reciept

Just got the phone call that the p-47 in waiting for me to go pick it up, unfortunately its too late for me to head out and get it today I may be able to get in to Ottawa tomorrow morning, but it will be a stretch to find the time. The only other day I have any free time this week is Saturday, and that just seems so far away when you have a new toy waiting for you

After waiting to get a BW head I gave up for now and ordered the Parkzone P-47 BNF. It should be in my hands before the end of next week. I didn't order from an online site, I ordered from my local Great Hobbies. I figure with all the soft powder snow we got over the holidays I should be fairly safe flying in the golf course. Might need to pick up some snowshoes to be able to chase down bad landings though What is a p47?

It is a ww2 warbird from parkzone. Other companies make P-47s as well, I just like the parkzone offering better. I would give a link but I am on my phone not the computer

COOL, chumley !! I just picked up my first aerobat this fall. An old fiberglass & balse SUkoi M-28. Still needs to be built. I got a start on it then had other things to do. ( Remodel about half the house to keep the wife happy !) Then surgery & the holidays. Maybe I can get it finished this winter. Never really got into 3D with helis, but I have been going nuts at it on the sims. Really want to get this Sukoi finished so I can see how long it takes to crash a real one. ( I can fly 3D till I'm bored on the sims)

I love my helis ( mainly because you can find more places to fly "em) but planes were my first & still hold a SLIGHTLY larger place in me. I just need to get off my butt soon & get my 500 Seahawk finished. Like all my other birds I WILL crash from time to time, but the only way to figure out how to do the New to you manouvers is to get up & DO IT! Crash be d***ed ! here it comes !!!
For you new plane guys those last 2 lines are significant. DO IT!!

I just got home with the new plane and already have it built. Doesn't take long to put 5 screws in and 4 pie es of tape on. All I have fo do now is program the radio bind it and adjust the surfaces.

Congrats, go fly and have fun. It's a beautiful day here today and even better by this weekend with temps in the 70s.
