Discard or use? That's the question. After seeing the pics. George posted in the 600 threads of his Zippy lipo all puffed up now I am worried about a couple of my Blue lipos possibly having the same type of issue. It's not as bad as his I don't think but I do notice they've a tiny bit of puffyness to them...ever so slightly. Is it normal over time for that to occur? Should I stop using them? I would hate to actually discard them as I only have 5-6 use out of them. Any inputs are welcome....thanks!

Fly them till they get worse. I have an older Pusle pack when I come down from a 3D flight she is all puffy and then lowers as it cools. If they are not super hot or cracked casing keep using em. Hey send em to me I'll fly the (BAD WORD) out of them.

I still have to get rid of the one I have, I am thinking of giving it to my brother and letting him use it as target practice, that it the discharge saltwater thing. I need to read up more on the latter one, but a fire demise seems so fun ;D

There is an article in the AMA magazine about batteries. You should take a look.

I use puffy batteries for warm-up flights and use the good batts for when I'm ready to fly hard.
I've heard that the salt water procedure can cause the thin conductor to corrode and therefore not discharge the battery completely.
To minimize the corrosion factor, I hook the battery up to a spare motor/esc and run as much as I can out of the battery before the salt water method. After having a lipo explode while being charged I always use a charging sack when either charging or discharging.
