Bought the kit second hand from a member - Been slow in getting it together but with my erazor issues this came back to the front burner.
Putting the main gear on when I put the lower jesus bolt through I am still seeing ~ 1/8th of inch in verticle movement. With the 600 and my erazor this was stopped by a collar that was below the swash. This main shaft appears to have a machined in "collar" that is either not in the right place or I didn't put something together right.
Any Suggestions?
As a bonus when I push the shaft all the way down the gear for the tail rotor meshes up perfectly with the front umbrella gear - when I push the shaft all the way up to bottom the gear out against the lower bearing block it is only on about half the gear

Ok evidently I had it in upside down - that said there is still about a 1/16th of inch play. Looking at the picture of the mainshaft on RCA it looks like it has two washers. Using both on the upper bearing block nets movement still. These washers I am using are copper in color and are paper thin. At they the right ones?

Download a manual if you don't already have one. Do a search on google for your model and just put PDF after it and you will get it.

As for the copper colored washers, I am not sure or atleast can't remember which one of the washers I used but if it takes the slack out, it'll be fine.

The flat part of the built on collar goes down on top of two brass washer that rest on top on the frame bearing. If you have to add a third brass shim that is fine.
On some birds I have only used one brass shim. Use whatever it takes to free up the void without causing anything to bind.

Only had two shims - Ended up pulling the shaft out and putting them between the main gear and the bottom bearing block - this removes the majority of the play
