Hey everyone! I just finished my 600 build and the Canopy seems to be hitting my servos as if the canopy is to small! Any Ideas ?

I had the same problem with mine upon arrival. It probably just deformed a little from heat during shipping. It is possible to use a heat gun to get it back to the proper form.

Do you have the servos the wrong way around? The servo horn should be on the bottom if it is on the top it may hit the canopy.

I've seen before where someones frame was hitting and i think I notice mine was tonight. Making some stress cracks in the canopy. I dont remember who pointed that out but the moved the brace back and filed the frame a bit.

That was me chitty. The front top part of the from was rubbing the canopy. I moved the brace back and filled down the frame edge a bit.

I did have my servos pointed down and I added heat and now it works! I even flipped my servos and I still have room! Thanks for the advice guys!

So when you said you added heat, I'm assuming you used a heat gun, or hair dryer, or something like that. Did you apply the heat to the inside of the canopy, or the outside while it was installed on the airframe? My canopy fit OK while I had the servos flipped with the wheels down, but I was noticing some strange behavior while flying, so I flipped the servos to get the geometry to 90 degrees with the swash control arms, and ,certainly, now the servo wheels are rubbing on the canopy.

An old practice is to gently stuff a rag in the canopy to get the desired shape, then use a heat gun to warm it. I have tried it heating the canopy from the outside & heating the rag inside the canopy. Both methods work but heating the rag takes longer.

I had the same issue so i put a couple of spacers in the canopy mounts to widen it a bit. Attachments:

Just hung a rattle can paint job on an unpainted caopy & it also rubs on the servo wheels. That spacer is a great idea & I'm going to try it.Thanks. Drev.

I also used a metal spacer between the canopy mounts. Cost nothing strenghtens the rear frame and adds bling! I'm not at home now but I may get a chance tomorrow to take a picture.

I use mine for a camera mount but the standard canopy mounts fits straight on too. Attachments:
