I took tm MCP out last night as it was very calm and decided to do a video for here. It all went great I even had my boxer dog standing there looking stupid as I landed it on his back and he did not even notice. I did a few fast circuits and then came over and landed on my hand which was cool. I then saw I never turned on the camera......dooohhh HaHa....LOL. You just made my day...LOL. nice......

I got inverted today and it looked good getting there unfortunately I had a bit of a brain fart when I decided it was time to return to the upright world . I didn't break anything or come in hard, just didn't look as smooth as getting inverted did I did that one time in my driveway. Once I went inverted, I couldn't get it back right side up well atleast I think I was beyond believe that I got it inverted in the first place that I just frozed. It ended up falling out of the sky right on top of my truck. LOL

I have done that a few time when I was trying to tape mountain bike races Even worse are the times I hiked 4 miles into the bush to record a difficult section only to get there and realize that I left the camera behind

The longer solid carbon fiber tail has been worth it's price for me. Just tonight I did the tail strike bouncing around and it survived. I went through 3 standard tails previously. And the stock settings for servo travel on pitch weren't enough for inverted. I increased it to about 85% a few months ago. Tonight I successfully held inverted hover for several seconds before losing orientation, prior I couldn't even get inverted without hitting the ground.

rcdude are you running the stock setup? motor and everything? Yes, 100% stock motor, blades, canopy, frame, etc... I bought the bird used off of Craigslist back in the spring from a guy who realized this was not the heli to start R/C with. So it was in really good condition. Came with the stock hollow tail. I glued it together once, wrapping it in paper towel soaked in CA. That only held for a month or two. Ordered the solid rod that is a little longer than the stock tail and have no regrets so far. Just to be clear I have the v2.

Mine is more less stock, the only performance like upgrades I did are the swash and DX7s. The head and landing gear are more like anti performance bling For radio settings I just used the downloadable settings from my DX7s and they have worked great for me. No problems getting inverted now, and can even hover tail for a bit, but coming out of it is rough. Its just a mind, hand coordination thing for me I think. I am sure that when i go to come out of inverted I do the same thing I did to get inverted instead of doing the opposite but I am getting better.

Yesterday I installed the Microheli Percision CNC Titainium Feathering Shaft set, what a waste of time and money. When I ordered my MH swash and head I also ordered the Ti feathering shaft. It wasn't till I had already received it that I read about the failure rate on it for stripping out the threads. I had nothing else on hand so I had to try it if I wanted to fly this morning. I took every precaution not to strip the threads, even worked under my magnifying lamp so I could see everything I was doing clearly. It all went together with no problem., everything tightened as it was supposed to and no excessive play in the grips. Fast forward to this morning. I decide to do a little hover in the livingroom and as I spin up the MCPx and am just starting to take off both blade grips go flying to opposite ends the room and the heli just falls back to the floor. Maiden flight with the Ti shaft and I didn't even get 2" off the ground. I did find all the parts though, dampers stayed in the head, the shaft stayed in one grip, as did the screw in the other grip. One step washer was still on the shaft, and I found the other in my coffee cup . the loops on the head did their job because the links were still there attached to the swash. I do have a fully charged stock battery and a a fully charged 300mah battery that I am going to have to discharge till i can get a few feathering shafts next week. My final thoughts on the Percision CNC Titainium Feathering Shaft set, do even look at it because even that is a waste of time. If you feel you need to buy one, just throw the $8 in the toilet and flush because it will get you just as far ;D

The bottom canopy mount posts on both sides of mine have broken off at the frame. I have a little canopy vibration when I fly, but would like to repair. Has anyone tried CA'ing them back on?

I used CA to glue one of my tear ones on and it's still there. Lost both front ins in a crash so i couldn't try glue them on.

So yesterday I did a major overhaul on my MCPx, thanks Drev. It is now a HP05 brushless in a MH Xframe. I still have a few bugs and things to sort out on it, like radio settings and all, but now that I have it back together its windy and raining outside. I still don't have enough room to fly indoors and the cats liked to attack my FP and Coax helis so I am not even going to attempt to hover indoors. I did spin it up in my hand and the power seems to be 100 fold more so it should be fun once I do get to go outside with it.
