I used that the first time because I was too lazy to walk 10 feet further to grab a piece of plywood. I have used it every time since because I have been too lazy to pick it back up It is just some cheap dollar store thing that my brothers kids left here 5 or 6 years ago. It does make you be precise with your landings because it is slippery.

No worries on killing the grass in that area, its getting dug up near the end of September, we are water proofing the foundation of the house and that board was only about 4' from the house. I was having some problems with actually flying the MCPX, I could fly circuits and figure 8s on the sim no problem, but in the backyard if I tried turning around I would fall out of the air. I couldn't figure it out, till this morning that is. I spent a couple hours on the sim then went out and ran the battery I had charged from last night, all the time having the same problem. Then it dawned on me what was going on. On the sim I fly it fairly aggressive, but in the backyard with all the trees, limited space and the fact I was flying on a makeshift tail boom repair, I was being timid. So after supper I charged up a couple batteries and headed to the little park a block over. I hovered for about 5 seconds, took it up to 10' and just flew normal as I would on the sim. On the 2 batteries I crashed 3 times. Once because I got tunnel visioned and flew behind a tree. I hit throttle hold and fell to the road. The other two times my make shift boom repair started to fall out, once it drooped as I was passing myself, the other suddenly while flying over the swing set. That one cracked the canopy, but it is so flimsy I knew it would crack sooner than later. Now that I know what I was doing wrong it looks like more park time for me

I flipped my MCP X today on purpose and didn't crash It was a pretty ragged flip, but a flip all the same. Got some real smooth and aggressive banked turns in too, near 90° banks in a tight turn. From about 15' away I could hear the blades ripping the air in the turns Not sure if I am going to get the 600 in the air this year for 2 reasons. One, I am having too much fun with the MCP X, and two, because even though I am getting the handle on the little one I still have shaky knees when I start flying it The first two tries with the 600 I was shaking with excitement, the shakes I get now are from fear of crashing. I need to get over that before I try the 600 again I am going to try get to work on the setup of the 600 this week, right now I haven't even put the new Rx in it to test and see if the servo shudder is gone

Oh I also ordered and picked up some more parts for the MCP X. I got 2 tail booms, a replacement and spare, and I ordered the MH skids with boom support and a Xtreme unpainted B type canopy. I am contemplating trying to match the paint scheme on the 600

Think the MCPx is a write off. Hooked it on the hydro wire by 1 of the main blades in front of the house & it fell about 20 or 25ft. to the sidewalk. Bent it up pretty good. Tired of fixing the thing. Maybe it time for something new. 130x? 300X? 450? Don't know yet, but I want a practice bird of some type. ?? Drev.

Just my inexperienced opinion, but I say another mcpx. 130X may be more capable, but it is more fragile. I broke a forward canopy post off mine on the weekend so I will be getting a new frame for it soon, it still flies though.

I have everything here that I need to fix it, but I'm just tired of working with the tiny parts & especially them damn microscopic screws. Probably need a sevo or 2 but got pissed off & just chucked it in a drawer in pieces. Maybe later on I'll have another look at it.

Is your's brushless? Either way if you decide not to fix it let me know I may be willing to buy it and the spare parts you have on hand.

I don't have anyone to take video for me So I just made a hat cam from my Sony point and shoot and a cheap tripod. I tested it out and it works, not the best quality, but it is passable for now. Just for kicks I tried mounting my Sony SLT to the hat, and as I expected, there is no way that one will work ;D I am just charging up the point and shoot's battery right now and in about an hour I will be heading to the park to try take some FF flight video. No tricks from this guy yet, but I do a heck of a banked turn

Went for a little fly and tested the camera, not bad, but not great. I had a bit of an unscheduled landing at the end. The clicking is the camera adjusting something, its an older camera and has been through hell and back I zoomed in a bit because I don't fly close to myself or others, that is why I miss some of the flying and at the end it looks like I almost hit myself. The helicopter is still 10 feet out and 4 feet above me when it looks it's closest ;D

I took tm MCP out last night as it was very calm and decided to do a video for here. It all went great I even had my boxer dog standing there looking stupid as I landed it on his back and he did not even notice. I did a few fast circuits and then came over and landed on my hand which was cool. I then saw I never turned on the camera......dooohhh
