I definitely hope so, but I wont know till after all this drywall and painting is done some time early next week I am having fun with the MCPx in the little available time I have though. Now I have to set up the Tx to work with my sim. Right now the link cable or my computer is being finicky.

Akk I broke my tail boom I thought I was all alone flying in the school yard when some little kid came running at my MCPX.Yes I did look around before I started, he and his mother were taking a short cut home from the store and she thought it was one of those cheap coaxial from the dollar store. Being new to this little bird and knowing how much those blades can sting my gruff callused hands I went straight into TH and the MCPX dropped about 4 feet right on its tail. I must have hit the elevator while taking my hand back from the TH switch I would rather have to spend the $20+ dollars for the new boom and gas than have tried to fly away from the kid and crashed into and hurt him. All is OK though I did a make shift fix and I actually think the tail holds better now. I had a WL Toys V911 sitting here getting no love so I stole the carbon boom out of it. It is square and a bit larger that the stock one, it is also about .5" longer. With a little bit of sanding to round it out so it would fit into the frame and tail motor holder I was up and flying in about 2 hours. Most of that time was spent trying to get the CA to release on the V911. As long as it holds till I can get into Ottawa again to buy the SR120 tail mod I should be more than good ;D

George, Is your MCPx brushless? If it's still stock the 120 tail will be too heavy & draw too much battery power. I don't think the 120 boom fits in the stock frame. Drev.

Its not brushless yet, but in the near future it will be. To my understanding the SR120 mod just uses the motor and holder, and the holder gets wedged in with some pieces of the 120 boom

I have no experience with the 120 boom. Just going by what I read on HF. I'm ordering some 550ma batteries later today & might do the dual tail motor conversion. Got all the parts here, just need stronger batteries. Should be cool !!! Drev.

All I have for batteries right now are the 2 stock 200mah and one Great Hobbies 300mah. For the price of the 300s I might pick up a few more because the BL conversion I am looking at is a 2s. I would need to get at least 1 more but if I am paying for gas to travel the 50 miles than I might as well get more ;D I am also thinking of a parallel charging cable. It could come in handy if I go for the 2s BL conversion I am still impressed with how well this little helicopter works, it is so stable in hover that I can go hands free for a good 15-20 seconds in calm winds. The 4 channel I stole the tail boom from couldn't go 1-2 seconds hands free even indoors

I guess thats the cool part about it's size, you can go either indoor or out.

Those videos are way above my skill level right now I decided while I had my camera out and charged up to take a quick video of me hovering and slipping my MCPx around in the back yard. I didn't want to bore anyone with a full 4 minutes of hovering so I only puttered for a minute and a half then landed. I still have a ways to go before I am ready to try any real flying, but I get quite a few flights in a day so I should start picking up skill points soon

Thats a good size flying area for it. When your more advanced you will be doing fast circuits in your yard with it. I like the placed chair! lol
