YES guys, it finally arrived today! My long awaited Air Wolf is here! I will use this thread as my build thread. As time goes on, I'll add pics, videos and my progress here. This will be my first ever scale build so I am sure I'll have plenty of questions for all you master scale builders out there. I've also added a cockpit to this project. Here are just a few pics. to kick start what I hope will be a fun and enjoyable build. If you like what you see, you can get yours right here..... www.scaleflying.com/Bell-222-Fiberglass-Scale-Body-Black-600-Size-Licensed-Bell-Helicopter-Product_p_780.htmlenjoy....... This is how it comes in the mail.... Surprise...out comes another box! Lets have a look inside...shall we? Ok, here we go...all laid out for everyone to see. Here's one sitting next to my 600 which will end up going inside the fuse. Looks to have plenty of room to work once it's opened up A view from up top Nice details .....and another Can't wait to see these babies retract! The finish is very nice and polished. These two will be flying it.... Very detailed cockpit to say the least! A closer look.....

Well, I can see why you haven't update the News Flash thread . . .
Congrats on your new addition - I guess this means you're going to stop doing 3D?

Very nice Doc! It brought back memories of my Airwolf I had. Although my one was a nitro 50. To be honest it was a pain being a nitro. If it was lying up for a week or so it would not start even though I drained everything before storage. I had to change the glow plug which was a pain to get at to get it to run. The gloss finish is great. Easy to keep clean just wipe with a bit of furniture spray polish to bring up the shine. Those retracts looks great by the way. Before I installed the rear horizontal fins I added glass resin inside the fuse to help strengthen them as mine would flap a bit when spooled up. See how you get on. I also added mesh inside the jet intakes. I used the fine mesh the plasters use to cover large holes in walls it looked the part. I also made my guns from metal parts from spare heli parts. They were nice in metal. Ill dig out pics if you like. Im looking forward to see the progress best of luck mate.

Wow, Good luck and will watch it come together with baited breath. That fuse is really sweet. I just made the mistake of showing your pictures to my Wife. She still is running around the house humming the airwolf theme, lol. She really wants one for my Chaos 600 (She is learning to fly heli's). Will be looking forward to a video of it in the future. Love the retracts, you are going all out!

Love the retracts, you are going all out! Thanks bro., yeah...I can't wait to get started. Currently I am wating on a BW fbl head/gyro for my 600 as I am going fbl with the Airwolf, I just think it'll look a million times better as a scale w/o flybars on it. Once I get that all set up, I'll be putting that baby in the fuse. I guess I can start doing a few little things to getting the fuse ready like installing the retracts and such maybe even getting the cockpit in place since it'll be in the part of the fuse that doesn't get involved with the mech.

I just remembered I have pics in my Runryder gallery. rc.runryder.com/helicopter/gallery/12099/I made the guns from landing skids and boom supports from a Shogun. The fiberglass ones did not last long. One tip from anything and they break. You can also see the mini Airwolf I made which was also a Shogun inside.

I was really impressed when I saw this....the link was on another thread here in the Lounge.
