On its 18th flight, I lost a ball link in flight and put the 600 in. Managed to keep it level during descent and minimized damage to just the skids and flybar. If I had noticed the ball during my pre-flight, this would have been avoided. Lesson learned. The culprit.

Well minimal damage is good! I to have to admit I don't always do a preflight check. Pretty sad what a few minutes can find.

The BEC is the hobbywing 5A UBEC. The tail servo is a bit small. It's an emax high speed digital. Has better torque and speed than a comparable larger servo. It is getting replaced soon, but so far I've had no problems out of it.

Hey guys, Need some serious help here.
Got everything rebuilt today, took it out back just to test fire and make sure everything was working properly. Everything initializes like normal. Makes it's normal beeps and such. But when I throttle up, the motor will not do anything. It makes some clicking odd sounding clicking noises likes it wants to turn but does not actually spin.
I'm using the Hobbywing 120A Platinum series ESC and a Scorpion 3025-1100 motor. Am I just out a motor or esc or both?

Can't remember if you said you hit THold but even if you didn't doesn't mean you've lost both motor and esc. Did you unplug all the electronics and maybe not plugged them back in the right place of the RX? Another thing to check...maybe the motor is spinning but the gears are stripped? Remove the main blades and have a closer look by spooling it up a bit w/o the blades.

Did you rebind your Rx after the repairs? Just a thought. Drev.

Hadn't thought about that. Everything else works fine though. Even did a range check. Will attempt in the AM and post results.

I can actually see that when the stick is moved up, the motor does not spin at all. I also checked all wiring connections when the problem presented itself. I have my motor wires color coded just for this reason.

After rebinding, the motor now spins a little. It's a very halting spin, but it's a slight difference from yesterday. Thoughts, comments or suggestions?

Hummmm, almost sounds like something is not set up right in your radio but certainly sounds like your motor is alive.

Hummmm, almost sounds like something is not set up right in your radio but certainly sounds like your motor is alive. That's comforting to hear. I guess I can always go back over the set up in my radio, make sure everything is right. Go through the ESC programming mode and make sure it's all set up right. At this point nothing could hurt. I'm waiting on c-clip pliers to arrive from amazon so I can pull the motor apart and check the coils.
