So my 450 has the phoenix motor - I have never pulled a brushless motor apart so I am not sure how the wiring works
If I mount the motor as is - the three leads coming off the motor are going to be pressed very tightly up against the frame. I have always tried to avoid kinking wires like that. Is it possible to disassemble to motor and bring the leads out another "hole" on the end piece?
Does that make sense -

I've built four Chaos 450's and all mine are up hard against the frame. Two of the birds I push pretty hard and I've never had an issue. They don't rub, they just get pushed into the frame hard. I wish I had more insight into the motor question but never pulled one apart?

the way they are built is the only way they will stay. each motor has flat spots on the can and on the shaft. Also to put the top of the can where the holes are to mount is connected to the winds and stators of the motor. Hard against the frame isnt gunna hurt it. if you want to protect them a little more just add some heat shrink over the wires
