Will do once I get that new radio equipment and see if I can eliminate that stutter on the pitch channel. Not sure what is going on with that. I am sure that it is not the servo because it happens to what ever servo is plugged into that channel. By just switching what servo is plugged into what channel I can eliminate the servos and anything mechanical on the helicopter. So that leaves problem being in the electrical signal, be it right at the cheap radio, my suspicion, interference from something else, or something funky about how I have the radio setup With the DX7s if I still get the stutter, then I will suspect my setup, but it will be easier to figure out what I am doing wrong since its a more common radio.

what radio do you currently use? I have a CopterX rebranded Turnigy 9X, I am not going to use it for this helicopter any more I do like it with my little fixed pitch 4 channel though so I will keep it around for that one.

just wondering. why are you choosing the dx7s? It was a toss up between the Aurora 9, JR XG8, and the Futaba 8FGHS, because they didn't have any Spektrum radios at the time I was looking. I also was under the belief that my cheap radio would be good enough till fall and would be able to save up the money or one of them. Now I know better, and the local shop has some Spektrum radios in stock. The reasoning for picking the DX7s over the DX8 and the other radios is the aproximately $150 price difference up here.

I am also hoping that the more mainstream radio that I will be able to get help with the set up. People are still offering setup advise with the 9X, but things just are not translating too well between the different radios. The JR 9503 retails for about $570 up here, while the DX7s is going for $310. On me fixed WCB income and not being able to make knives right now I wouldn't be able to swing that sort of coin without some serious saving . Its all go though, next week I should make it into Ottawa to pick up the DX7s, and from all my research on it, it should meet my needs. The first thing I will do with it will be to check and see if that glitch in the pitch channel is gone. I may pick up a few servo cable extensions just in case it is still there so I can try rerouting some wires to eliminate it. I spent yesterday going over everything and checking screw tightness. I found one thing that was a bit of a let down, both the clamp threads on the tail rotor housing were stripped I am thinking that the tail stabilizer must have clipped the ground the last time I tried flying and pull the threads loose. I did a temporary fix on it by using longer screws that stuck out far enough that I could use a couple of lock nuts to clamp the housing to the boom.

As far as the dx7s its not to hard to program i just prefer the 9503 cause thats what i have. I have set up a few dx7s so setup should be a breeze with your heli.
