I ordered my 600 yesterday, and it's on the way. I couldn't wait for the Super Combo Kit so I just ordered the Limited Edition kit with a motor, ESC, and BEC. I have to admit, I'm a little obsessed with this. I just need to calm down.javascript:add("%20:o") They packed it up, and shipped it already. RCA, you're awesome.
I already have the KDE upgrade kit with the bottom plate, battery tray, gyro and receiver trays. I ordered an rc-tec main bearing upgrade. I also ordered 2 Zippy 5000mah 6S 45C liPos from Hobby King. I plan to use 6S for now with a BEC to run the electronics. I found a great deal on HeliFreak Classifieds for 3 Align DS610 cyclics and DS650 tail servo that should be on the way soon. javascript:add("%20:P") Whew. I've blown my hobby budget for a while. I now have to be patient for everything to arrive.

Ah yes. I ordered the spacer kit with the KDE 600 Pro upgrade kit. Thanx for the reminder.
Wow, it's such an awesome looking heli. javascript:add("%20:-*")
This is my first real build from a kit. I rebuilt a Blade CP from a parts airframe my son gave me. But this is going to be a great adventure for sure. I just keep practicing on my Phoenix flight sim to get rid of the dumb thumbs.
I can't wait!javascript:add("%20;D")
I do have a question regarding deans connectors. Are there different size of deans connectors, or does one size fit all electric applications? I bought some at my LHS, but they are more electric truck/car focused. They do a great job stocking parts for the Blade helis, but not much in the way of anything else heli related such as Align, Gaui, or anything like that.

Glad you got a new toy on the way and yes very addicting for sure. Better start saving for your next toy...LOL. As for the Dean connectors, I am pretty sure there is only one size but I can be wrong cause I mainly use EC5s. When I searched in the pass looking, I don't ever remember Dean's come in other size unlike the EC. Double check though and maybe others can chaim in on this.....good luck and let us know your progress and feel free to ask questions that you may need answered. A bunch of good guys here willing to help out.

Excellent. Thanks for the info, guys. I'll keep you up to date as I build my new project. I'm getting my workshop ready so I'll have room to work on it.

You can use the full size deans' connectors on your bird. Be cautious with them though i ruined my esc on my 600E using them have since switched to the EC5. I had the arc jump across both terminals on the deans, plugging it in and smoked the esc. This many amps at 22v its best to have both conductors shielded.

Any connector on a hi volt/amp circuit with open contacts is a recipe for disaster. EC3/EC5's are completely shielded & much safer. Just my $.02. Drev.

The first time I saw what the Deans looked like I was a bit scared of what could happen. Also, from past post I've read that just the "pop" you hear when you connect them would scare the crap out of me. I personally don't like the way you have to solider wires to em either cause they are pretty much exposed as well...only the heat shrink keeps them covered unlike the EC series which the wires are atleast inside the casing of the plug itself. That said there are many ppl who likes them just fine but I feel more comfortable using the EC5s.

It sounds like EC5s are the way to go. Thanx for the excellent suggestions. I like the idea of shielded connectors and no pops.
