DX6i....if you leave the power on and the battery dies does all the programming drop off? I did this on accident. Recharged the battery. All of the models are still in there and everything seemed fine. Went to spool up the 600 and something didn't seem right so I let off. As soon as I do all programming seemed to drop off and the heli wanted to tip over because everything that was reversed switched. Ther servos seemed to go wacko. The aileron servos just went full out one direction and elevator reversed . Thank god I wasn't in the air yet. Does it make sense that it was all level when I started to spool and then when I let off throttle it erased. This seems really sketchy to me and I don't know what to do.

Double check your settings then try rebinding your Tx to the Rx.

It no doubt dropped the settings...the scary thing is it didn't do it until after I spooled up and then shut down. I first checked reverse settings and everything was normal which I know it wasnt before. Is it normal for it to drop settings after the battery dying? if it is ok that makes more sense but this seems kinda random that's why I'm worried.

Spektrum TXes (can only speak for the DX6i and 7S as I have the 6i and Dad has the 7s) only save changed settings at power down. I'm guessing you made a bunch of changes and didn't power off the TX before it turned off due to low/dead batteries. By turning off this way, it bypassed the Saving Settings section of the code when the power switch is flipped.

How long did it stay powered down? I believe that i have heard in the past it will only loose setting if the batt is dead or out for a few days...I used to have a dx6i with a rhino lipo in it and would take the lipo out to charge.... Lipo was only out for a few hours and I never had any problems. Would have the same effect as a dead batt on the radio I would think.. Sorry I don't have any more info...
