When I built my 450 last time, I used the zip-tie method to level the swash since the leveling arms on the standard Turnigy leveler would not reach the swash arms. Is there a swash leveler with longer arms? How do you level your CHAOS swash, and don't tell me you "do it by eye". Heh.

Here is a pic of my 450 leveling tool. Sorry I have not got one for the 600 but it's more or less the same. The 600 version is just a 10mm mast stopper with a longer screw and servo arm at the end. It works a treat. I could not be bothered wasting money on this type of tool when you can easily make something up from stuff lying around. Yes they don't cost much but when you add in the fact I need 3 tools for each heli and they won't be used that much I prefer to make up something. PS...video here Attachments:

Hmm, I have some precision ground O-1 steel here, a good drill press and metric drill and taps, I guess I could make a heavy duty swash leveling tool in a few minutes on my own The joys of being a knife maker with tools Here is a pic of my 450 leveling tool. I've build both a Chaos and an EXI 450, I can tell you that the swash arms are a bit different as one of them are further away from the center. What I did was used some very small washers and CA them to the tip of a 450 size swashplate tool to extend it enable to reach.

Making a levler out of some scrap metal was my first thought but I sold my drill press since it was hardly ever used and was taking up far too much valuable garage floor real estate. I miss the days of ready access to my father's machine shop.
I like valkman's idea but I had the washers and glue close by so I used Dr.Evil's suggestion which is what I was thinking of doing in the first place only not using washers but some sheet metal.
Thanks. I always like to see the ingenuity of others.
