Hello ! I just finish put together my Chao 450. But have a problem wirh the stock ESC that came with the kit. I can enter setup mode for ESC but that's all I can do. The ESC got no power to the motor. I tried with another ESC that use for my Trex 600 and can get motor spin but the stock ESC is totally silence. Any one have any idea how to fix it ? or I miss some thing? or the ESC is bad ? any help will be appreciate. Thanks

It is uncommon, well atleast I don't really hear anyone having issues with the stock ESC but thats not to say it can't happen. If all fails, I can probably get one replaced for you. Just PM me if thats the case. Good luck.....

With the ESC plugged in do you get power to all the servos? If you so we know power is going through the ESC.
If yes to having power to the servos switch 2 of your motor/esc wires and see if you get the motor to spin. If the polarity is not correct the motor will not spin.

Here is the symptom with stock ESC that came with the kit. When I connect to battery pack, I can get the power to my received (ESC connect to channel 3 on my receiver), all the servo is working find so the gyro too. But when I push throttle up, nothing came to the motor. I had check throttle curve and it setup 0%,45%65%75% and 100%, but with throttle all the way, still nothing came to motor. I have check the wire to the motor as well, swap the wire but still nothing. I have Airtronics RD8000 transmitter. There is any thing that need to setup in my RD8000? I want to try every thing possible before send this ESC back for exchange. Thanks

Make sure throttle hold is not activated some how. And....!!! Do all your tests with the blades even the head off in case the heli does come to life. When you plug the battery into the ESC do you hear it go through the initialize beeps? If your throttle is reversed or not all the way down it wont initialize. I fly Spektrum so I can't answer the questions about the RD8000 sorry

With the blade ? I think you mean without, right? ;D. Yes, I did test without the blade (still love my hand and legs ;D). And no, there is no sound from ESC when I connect to Batt pack. Will double check the throttle hold but I think that I have it off.

Make sure to check that your throttle is calibrated to your ESC also

Check 1. Your end points on throttle channel. 2. The throttle is not reversed. 3. You have the throttle trim down. I can't say more as I don't know what ESC you have. It may need to be calibrated as said. It's been a while since I used an RD8000 so I can't remember any more. Hope you gert sorted cause it's a great heli.

Thanks for all your guys help. This forum is the best so far that I had . Again, Thanks. Still, nothing change with the ESC I have. When I replace it with another ESC, I can get the motor spin. Is the stock ESC ( Phoenixtech Goldline 45amp) make any sound, tone, bip... when you first connect to batt pack ? The one that came with my kit does nothing when you connect it to batt pack ( unlike the other one I have).

Try swapping around the wires going into the motor. If this and everthing else that was mentioned above ( along with you using another working ESC ) does not work the unit is more than likely faulty.

;D..Just received my replacement ESC today and it's 65amp ;D. Not sure why they sent me a 65apm to replace the 45amp stock ESP but happy with it. Will contact them to find out if I own them any thing for the 65apm ESC. Thanks Dr.Evil. ..And here is the sad thing. The new ESP symptom is the same with the old one until I increase EPA on my radio to 150% and it work like a charm. Look like that the stock ESP that came with the 450 pro kit will has to do the same I exchange a good one to get another good one. Sorry RCA, will contact you to find out if I own you any thing.
