traded some computer work for an Erazor 450 - Not the best machine in the world but a little less intimidating than my 600 and a hell of lot cheaper to repair / toss in case I really auger it in. Using it to grow the size jewels to get more comfortable with the 600
Anyway - The radio that came with it is pure junk and had something rattling around in it - worked but wanted to get my A9 setup for it.
Put a 7 channel receiver in and started the setup -
to get the swash moving in the correct direction for cyclic commands I had to reverse the aileron and elevator and leave everything else normal - this gives the following
cyclic stick forward the swash tilts to the front of the machine, right stick the swash tilts to the right (as seen from the tail rotor looking forward) and left stick it tilts left. Pull back on the cyclic and swash tilts towards the tail rotor.
Only problem though is that when I do this the swash goes down when I push the collective up and goes up when I pull the collective down.
That being said the motor spools up when I push the collective forward
I have been through every setting and I am sure I am missing something
Again it is a Hitec A9
Thanks for the help in advance

Go into the swash menu and change it. I know with my Spektrum radios if pitch etc is reversed go into the swash menu and if pitch is set at -60 change it to +60 or vice versa.

This video should help. Around 6:00 is what I was talking about with switching the neg and pos numbers.

I remember I pounded my head against the wall for days setting up one of my helis years ago do to this same issue.

working on a quirk in the throttle now - think the esc is trying to tell me something. Working on the damn thing in the kitchen - she spang to life and thankfully had some negative pitch other wise I coulda put an eye out with this thing - instead ate up some of my notes and turned about 15 napkins into confetti before I got my hand on the throttle hold switch

Take those blades off whenever you work on your heli that involes a spool up. BTW, I have the Erazor too and the parts are cheap so I can crash as much as I want...LOL. Also, if you don't mind...I am going to move this thread to the proper location. I'll put it under "Tech Questions"

I had the blades off and then put them back on - wasn't expecting that spool up. My buddy that helped me getting the 600 setup did most of the radio setup as well (actually 99.9%) - I was duplicating his throttle and pitch curves for the 600 - Evidently I do not grasp this flight condition thing. What caused the spool up was an error in flight conditions What I entered for idle up 1 over wrote my "normal" throttle curve and thus put the motor at 100% at full down (also thankfully negative pitch as well) when I flipped the throttle hold switch off for a second because the transmitter was yelling at me to flip it off on power up No worries on moving it - my brain was running at 100% trying to figure out the issue and I failed look to see where it should actually go. This razor I think is the cheapest one - metal head/tail but just about everything else is plastic. Felt it was a fair trade. Have some new main shafts and feathering shafts coming as I believe they are bent. Other than that I was able to get her into the air and maintain a reasonable hover - loads different than the sim and much more fun Which radio are you using for it?

Yeah...no biggie, just didn't want to see anyone get hurt cause it happened to me...a real rookie mistake that could of been much worst. It happened on my work bench in the garage around last January when I was messing around with the Tx and hit the rev. on the throttle dip switch and all hell broke loose. Thank God I didn't get hurt but it ripped appart everything around it on the bench and the scariest thing was I couldn't figure out how to shut it down. I had to finally disconnet the battery while the thing was still spinning after it fell to the ground off the bench. I even made a video about it warning others not to make the same mistake as I have on youtube...LOL. Anyways, its currently not flyable due to the last crash but I was just using the stock radio....though I do have and use the A9 for all my other birds and would probably use it for the Erazor if and when I put it back together. Good luck with yours, it flies really stable considering the low cost of that thing...I really enjoyed mine.
