occilation or being jerky or thrown out of manuevers is to high of gain.. being to low your heli will act like its really mooshy in the air or not feel locked in during flight. most of us have our gains set at 11 o clock. i suggest starting there with both pots

Thanks for the starting point and indicators guys. Looks like I will be getting out to fly this morning so I'll give an update later in the day.
Fingers crossed, Crashmaster

Success! Much credit to my friends here on the Lounge.
Took the 500 with the BW and Tracx head out this morning and gave her a thorough checkout.
I had changed out the BW mounting tape for the thinner 3M tape. She flew great. I ended up putting about 20 expo on my DX6i ele, ail, and rudder. This got me back into the "feel" that I'm used to. Started with the gyro gain at about 60 and gradually jacked it up to around 82.5. Didn't see any fast wag but felt I had good tail control.
I was feeling confident enough to do my limited bag of tricks. Forward and reverse flips and rolls.
She's a winner! Now to decide if I'm going to change the Chaos 600 over to the BW head and gyro. Maybe I'll get a couple of more sessions in with the 500 before switching the 600 over.
Thanks again for all you guys help, y'all are the best!
