I already thought of the fact that it is FBL and it comes with a cheap charger and batteries. You just said you spent $150 in spares and $25 on batteries so I persume you got 2 batteries for $25. But the point is.....it's a plastic little heli! You could have a metal and carbon 250 for that money with batteries complete. Hell it could be brushless for that money. That's metal and carbon, not plastic. The point is not how much of a bang it can take as I said but the value. Seeing that it is plastic it should be cheaper. A lot cheaper. I wonder how much profit they are making on this one ;D Just my opinion mate...... Actually - $25 gets you 10 batteries from Hobby Partz (5 350mah Skys and 5 450mah Gens Ace) and if I were to order the same parts for a 450 it would have cost far more and the parts would last far less. Again, this heli is not for everyone, but those that need help with their flying skilz (like me) this is a very nice trainer and a very capable heli.

How is it holding up Chumley? Eric picked up his today. I wonder if he will let me beat on his to help me decide if I really need one... ;D We have three at our field - mine hasn't crashed, yet, Buddy #1's gone in a few times including a pretty good hit and only has some very minor damage to the "umbrella" gear that drives the tail (still works fine but will need replacement someday), and Buddy #2 broke his tail boom the first day. Buddy #1 is a much better heli pilot than #2 so I think he knows how to minimize damage in a crash, but we are both amazed how well these are holding up. I think with the way the tail holds and the fact it has way more power than the mCP X the amount of crashes will be much less. Even with a slightly high damage rate than an mCP X that fact that crashes will be down, I expect to be be putting less parts into this than I have been with the mCP X.
