OK, not an mCPx, but this is very mCPx-like but in a slightly bigger and more powerful size. I'm hearing a mid-June release. Looks very cool - it will be my next "trainer":

Brushless and no tail motor! Yay! I was just wondering why they hadn't come out with a 120sr replacement yet last night.

$300 is a bit much for what it is I think. I give in and bought the mcpX last year but that price tag was not too bad but to jump an additional $130 to a "150 size"...I am not exactly sold on it.

One of my apprentices at work is a Blade sponsored pilot...I had a look at that 130 today....a sweet little thing....torque tube driven tail...full collective type tail...brushless...he said he has been flying it for a while...slammed it into the ground and other solid objects and not damaged it at all...no stripped gears...
For me, the mcpx is enough, as a small heli to belt around the back yard, but E-Flite are certainly pumping out a lot of variety...

Doc I will have to disagree with you on this one. A mcpx, brushless upgrade, and a few option parts to make it fly better cost this much easily. With that brig said I love my mcpx and will fly both when I gr one of the 130s. ;-) I think its priced perfectly even though it does seem ugh for a micro.

Just picked up a 130X. I really like this little heli. Much more solid and powerful than an mCP X. Just one flight so far, but I'll update this thread as I get more time on it.

Is it as durable as HH has advertised it to be? I am interested in one as well. But first have to sell off my BL MCPX before wife will even consider letting me get one

But first have to sell off my BL MCPX before wife will even consider letting me get one I only have a couple batteries through it so far in my front yard so no crashes yet. We'll see when I get it to the field where I can throw it around more - I'm sure it'll find it's way into the dirt. I just ordered $150 in spare parts and another $25 in spare batteries. I did see one of the Horizon guys at SEFF put one in hard and walked away with only a stripped tail gear.

Not to quibble over $30, but the mCP X BnF lists for $179, the 130X is $279, the 300 is $379, the 450 is $499, and the 500 is $599. So pretty much steps up $100 at a time til you get to the 450 which has a $120 jump.

Maybe I'm missing something here! Has any noticed that this is a small plastic heli? Sure it may take a fall but I too think it is overprised for what it is..... a small plastic heli. Putting aside the fact that it's the new kid on the block, and that it may take a bang, the heli is 20 US cheaper than the Pro 450 Combo. Now you put the 450 beside that 130x and tell me why there is 20US in the difference. Pro 450.... 299Us www.scaleflying.com/Chaos-450-Pro-Super-Combo_p_1318.html130 x BNF......279.99Us www.horizonhobby.com/products/blade-130-x-bnf-BLH3780

I can easily point out that the 130X is complete out of the box - just bind and fly, even includes a battery and battery charger. The 450 combo is a kit that has no receiver, battery or charger which could add $150 to the bottom line and several hours build and setup. The 130X is FBL as well and is small enough that I very comfortable flying it in my yard or any park - not something I would do with a 450 or bigger. The biggest reason I like these is that they can take a hit with little to no damage and parts are available at my local hobby shop whereas a 450 will take $40-$50 in mail order parts and a couple hour to put back together after a crash. I use these micro helis to learn on, then once I can comfortably do a new maneuver, I'll try it on my bigger Chaos. If you are already accomplished and don't ever fly anywhere other than an RC field, then you would really have no need for one of these.

I already thought of the fact that it is FBL and it comes with a cheap charger and batteries. You just said you spent $150 in spares and $25 on batteries so I persume you got 2 batteries for $25. But the point is.....it's a plastic little heli! You could have a metal and carbon 250 for that money with batteries complete. Hell it could be brushless for that money. That's metal and carbon, not plastic. The point is not how much of a bang it can take as I said but the value. Seeing that it is plastic it should be cheaper. A lot cheaper. I wonder how much profit they are making on this one ;D Just my opinion mate......
