Thanks for the replies guys. There is just something about the airwolf that I like very much, the looks and all. So now, maybe a better question would be "How hard is it to do an Airwolf vs. another scale"? I been told that a MD500 is pretty straight forward but looking at all these videos lately, I tend to think the Airwolf would be fairly easy as well but being so new in the scale part of the hobby I can't say for sure....any advise?

The Md 500's are straight forward, by just adjusting the mechanics and bolting on the tail. That is pretty much it for a 500 you could have one in the air as Chris did and look good in a matter of hours. The airwolf would not be hard either you would just have to fit the mechs in and trim around the tail cone to fit your certain tail case you have. When you build scales no matter what, they are very rarely plug and play except for the MD 500's. When you purchase your fuse make sure you have the mechanics recommended for that certain body for your first build. I have seen so many guys get frustrated with scale because they picked a hard helicopter to model. I would also stay away from elevated tail rotor models as your first build. You would do fine with an airwolf or even a bell 222 utility if you do not like the retracts. I like making scale fittings and lights as you see in my 500 little bird so I can say once you get bit by the scale bug it can get crazy. I never flew 3D strictly scale, when you get your scale body just ask away there is enough of us here to help you along the way.

Nice, Dr Evil! Should be a really straightforward build. What size are you going to go with?

O god I will have to remove that pic that was my psycho ex. That was an old pic I did a lot more work on that before I sold it. Evil the Wolf is straight forward enough and having the TT is a bonus. But don't mention "scale" to any scale person as they will point out it is not as the Wolf was fake in the first place!

Oh haha...LOL, yeah...after really looking into it I realize that the closest thing is the Bell 222. Looks like they took that and made it into a 2 door version and added a few ammo options. Sort of like a coupe version vs. a sedan being the same car....lol

Yes it was a Bell 222. There is pics of them making it on the web somewhere. As far as I remember it was sold and coverted to civilian again. It later crashed in Germany killing the passengers as far as I remember.
