CR Bro ... you mentioned the Chaos 600 being able to handle the "Larger Scorpion Motor" .. can you give me more info on that motor, maybe the numbers so I can look it up or maybe a link to that motor. For the "fuse" I am looking at which is large and has some weight to it, that way I can research it some. Again, I'm new to this would of Helis, Your help is appreciated. About you guys all being on the east coast ... well, that's my luck .... lol

Hey Thanks again CR .. this info will help me in the research and I am sure you got me in the ball park. Again Helis are new to me, the electrics motor, esc, bec, cyclic. I've got my feet on the ground and my planes flying in the air. In my planes I use Nitro and had been moving into gas power. Nitro price goes up and I really enjoy the sound of the gas power both 2 cycle and 4. I have 3 ft. foamies for fun and for the kids all the way up to 101 inch Radiant. Again, helis are new to me ... let's just say "I am speading My Wings" ... lol. I am also interested in a seperate "BEC" .. from what reading I am doing ..it is a good idea to have your "BEC" seprate from your "ESC" .. should it die on you. Again thanks Bro

Anything bigger than a 500 it is highly recommended to run a seperate BEC just in case your ESC smokes out. If you have a ESC with built in BEC and the ESC goes you not only lose motor power but also power to all electronics! I've heard way to many stories of people's birds going down for a bad ESC At least with a BEC you have a fighting chance to get the bird down and take care of the fire if the ESC goes bad. When you build the Chaos we can tell you how to set it up for external BEC. A Castle Creations BEC Pro works just fine. RC Aerodyne has everything you should need.
