Alright, will be posting a little build thread on my 500 size little bird. I ordered this from RCA of course and was impressed with the fuse for sport scale. This fuse is light weight and came packaged nicely. I will be flying it with stock electronics and a trex 500 until i decide on a multi-blade head. I will be using rc-lights lighting kit with adjustable strobe rate.

Crmodels
Yeah I'm going to use a company called rc-lights. I'm going to get their park flyer kit in 3mm as the controller has two adjustable pots for the rate of the strobe flash. With using a switch on my tx I can turn on navigation lights and landing lights. I am going over how I'm going to do wiring to keep it out of sight. I am also looking at building the lights in the skids so I will work on that this weekend and post pics as I go.

The md500 is a nice bird and can be scaled up easy and look real good. Your 500 is nice you going to do anything else or like you 3d flying more. I seen some of your videos and nice flying.

Thanks Mike I sold the MD500 a few weeks ago to fund the 2nd Chaos 450 so I can start training my father. Will miss it but there is always the future for another scale

Alright just a update I am working on the red strobe and white light on the tail section. I am in the process of repainting from black to olive drab. I am also airbrushing the US ARMY and numbers for aircraft so hope to have pics up tomorrow night or Sunday. I will also explain how I built the mounting for the lights out of plastruct.

Alright since I am waiting on more parts to dry here is a rundown on parts. The bag is labeled that comes with the kit there are no instructions but it is fine if you have built before. The screw bag is labeled and the below numbers is what it is used for. #12 the mount the small winglets to vertical stabilizer #13 these mount the wood mounts to the wood in the fuse #14 these are the set screws for the landing gear. I drilled and tapped mine so I would suggest the same. #15 these are washers to go with screws #16 to mount the mechanics to wood spacers. #16 these are the screws that mount the wood spacer to the mechanics. #17 these mount the wing supports for rocket pods to the wood in the fuse. The landing gear on the 600 and 700 size seem to get screwed to the wood frame in the fuse. The 500 does not seem to have enough to screw it in so I'm going to use epoxy and it will be fine. Hopes this helps anyone building one or thinking of one. I am pleased with it since I have reprinted from black to olive.
