Towards the end of 2011 I bought a used Trex 450XL RX ready on RCG. Now I've managed to strip/break 2 teeth on the main gear. Being an older heli, parts are harder to find. So does anyone have a recommendation where to get replacements from? I've found A Mains Hobby and ReadyHeli have replacement main gears and canopy mounting brackets (broke one as well). Never ordered from either place but curious as to if anyone has other suggestions.

Remember, when in doubt..... see if RCA has it first before you go looking else where. RCA just isn't about scale fuses and Chaos helis

Ended up ordering from A Mains since it was cheaper with shipping. Parts arrived yesterday. I also threw a Spektrum to Spektrum trainer cord in the cart since I'm an instructor at my field, didn't have a buddy cord, and most new pilots at the field are using Spektrum gear.
I've been quite here as well as on all the other forums I'm on due to being slammed with a lot of work and nearing deadline at work as well as my wife being in the final weeks of the pregnancy with our first child.

Congrats and good luck, where should we send the cigars? Thanks man. If I ever get out to RCHO, you guys can smoke 'em on my behalf away from me ;D (I'm allergic to the smoke and am a non-smoker)

tell ya'll what, instead of wasting money on cigars (cubans and bubble gum kinds) pool together to get me an mCPx or DX8.... :-P LOL!!!! Seems like I'm the only one without an mCPx, and now that I have a spektrum trainer cord, I can only add 1 more model to my DX6i so i can keep a slot open for buddy boxing.

hahaha...I don't smoke, just thought was the right thing to do...LOL. I recently messed up my board on the mcpX I think, it no longer is able to bind to my Tx....oh well. The sad thing is that a new board is like $70 so now I just wondering if its even worth it as a whole new heli is around half more than that...LOL.
Another option is a SoloPro from nineeagles I recently saw, I think its interesting enough for me to look into anyways....It's a FBL micro just like the mcpX but I believe cost a bit less.

Hahaha, I know. I was just egging you guys on. Again, thanks for the congratulations and excitement. I'm starting to get excited now that we're nearing the end. I hope he's interested in the hobby. I plan to start him on the simulator, let him mess with the FORCE R/C helis (mCXes), then move up to the Blade mSR, and go from there if he wants to do helis. Also would be great if he does planks as well. Hoping to have the next Justin Chi!!!!!
